Two-time Daytime Emmy winner for her role as Karen Wolek on One Life to Live, and a Tony winner this year for her performance in Other Desert Cities, Judith Light is returning to soaps! Well, a nighttime one anyway. According to TV Line, Judith had been cast in a new role on the hit TNT reboot of Dallas and will be coming on to the series for season two, which returns at the end of January 2013!
Here is what is known of Light’s role on Dallas: “She plays an authoritative and controlling battle-ax who will fight to the death to protect the people she loves. And for the people she loves, she uses every psychological trick in the book to make them do what she wants.” Ah, we say pretty juicy!
Bets are in that Light will ultimately turn out to be the mother of Ann Ewing (Brenda Strong) since Ann’s estranged daughter, Emma, played by Emma Bell, will also be part of the mix for season two!
Can you just imagine Who’s The Boss and Ugly Betty fave, Judith playing scenes with Larry Hagman (J.R. Ewing) or Linda Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing), too?
