5 April 30th, 2013 Judith Light Scores Tony Nomination For The Assembled Parties!

Fantastic news for fans of Judith Light and her work on Broadway, One Life to Live and Dallas!  The Tony Award winning actress and two-time Daytime Emmy winner landed another Tony nomination early this morning when the announcements for the 2013 Tony Awards were read!

Light will be competing in the Best Featured Actress in a Play category for her work in the new play The Assembled Parties!  Judith won this category previously for her work in Other Desert Cities!  Light will be up against Carrie Coon, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?,  Shalita Grant, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Judith Ivey, The Heiress, and Condola Rashad, The Trip to Bountiful.

In other news, Billy Magnussen, known for his work as Casey on As the World Turns, also landed a Tony nomination in the Best Featured Actor In A Play category for his work Billy Magnussen in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike! The 2013 Tony Awards will air on CBS via Radio City Music Hall on June 9th!

    The Broadway/New York theatre community – soap opera world connection is wonderful. This is why I always liked the East Coast soaps more than the LA-based ones.
