Two-time Daytime Emmy and Tony winner Judith Light has been confirmed that she is returning to TNT’s Dallas for a second season in her role of the rather twisted and complex, Judith Ryland!
In a new interview out in Entertainment Weekly on newsstands now, and posted with excerpts on BroadwayWorld.com, Dallas showrunner Cynthia Cidre had this to say about Judith’s return in the new season: “On set they call her J.R., literally, because she’s Judith Ryland.” Of course, J.R refers to the legendary Dallas character played by the late Larry Hagman.
Cidre went on to say what to look for from Judith Light as Judith Ryland simply stating: “She is better, badder, and more delicious than ever.”
Dallas returns for the first part of its split season with all new episodes beginning February 24th!
