31 April 21st, 2017 Kimberly McCullough and Brooklyn Rae Silzer Make A Return To GH!

Looky who was back on the set of General Hospital!

According to a tweet with a photo from executive producer, Frank Valentini, fan favorites Kimberly McCullough (Robin) and Brooklyn Rae Silzer (Emma) were back on set filming new episodes.  Could it be that Emma and Robin are back for the annual Nurses’ Ball?

Valentini tweeted, “Late night shenanigans with these two beauties. #GH #Wrappizza

Hopefully this means that Brooklyn will be performing in a new production number and Kimberly will be making a moving speech for the annual Port Charles gala.

So, glad to hear there will be some Robin and Emma on the way?  No dates yet as to when they will air, but we would expect its sometime in May.

Indeed great to see them both, but they’re just part of the spinning revolving doors at GH, unfortunately. Hilary B. Smith came on the show, many of us hoping he’d be the new D.A. She played Valentin’s attorney for several days and that was it.

Now Jax it back, but he’s heading out the door again, too. Rather than having some talent and great characters roles like these two could play, ABC is paying the girl from Turkey and Amy the gossipy nurse and…. Good grief. Disappointing.

I look forward to seeing these two beauties. I am sad to lose Jane Elliott, but I am happy her exit story is moving along. I feel that the network serials (all 4) need to speed up their story telling to compete with steaming services I love that I can find so many favorite old shows to stream. I only watch GH and if story drags I can and do not watch for two weeks at times. I read the synopsis and decide what I want to watch.

Wouldn’t it be great if they would stream our serials episodes from years past. Someone run with this idea.

Great post. Would love to stream Port Charles, in particular. The book-format would make it the best candidate to stream

This is good news BUT…GH has been nearly unwatchable lately. I love GH; GH is my soap and I have watched for decades. They have the best cast in daytime. However the current writing team may be the worst in the history of the show. Poor Jane Elliot’s exit story as Tracy is a contrived abomination. The usual reliable casting director has bombed big time with the actress playing the Turkish woman. I have never seen such an abysmal performance on a soap. Practically all stories are re-written on the fly when major inconsistencies are revealed. Follow through on story arcs is willy-nilly. A lot of dialogue is just plain awful. Any time you write a scene where a major talent like Michael Easton talks to a lizard you should be embarrassed. So many painful non-stories are being dragged out that it is a trial to watch and endure. I tune in every day to see these amazing actors and also out of loyalty and habit. Mostly I do not enjoy what I am seeing. Again, I say all this because I am a major fan of the show and want it to thrive and continue into the future. Please somebody, step in and fix this mess!

Yeah, I basically agree. I have watched “GH” off and on since 1980. This current batch of writers just don’t have what it takes. Although there are some good individual moments here and there, overall the show is boring.

Jane’s exit story is awful, unbearable to watch and I am sorry, the Turkish woman creeps me out. I can’t watch it! I don’t care about the woman, her child, etc. I care about the Quartermaine’s. The Q’s could banter and squabble for the next month, all during Jane’s exit, and I would enjoy that, welcome that, instead of this atrocious story arc.

Saaaaameeera has uncanny resemblance to Octomom, the personality of a dead log and only whispers her lines.

I’m all for more Qs. But she’s a Firm No.

I figured they would be back for the NB. If Kim wanted to return full time they should just recast Patrick. JT will NEVER leave Y&R for GH!

I love Jason Thompson on Y&R, major on-screen chemistry with Gina Tognoni (Phyllis). I only watch the show in anticipation of their scenes, and Eileen Davidson (Ashley).

Always welcome. Robin is the de facto heart and soul of the show.

This return has to be for the Ball. I have always loved watching that in the years they did it. All the performances are always so good and it brings a change of pace to the show which I also like. Looking forward to this year to see what Lucy puts together!!!

Been watching GH for years and I live the show. But I’ve been really disappointed lately. The Nelle kidney story was silly. Why would Jax go to Frank Benson for a kidney?? Crazy!!

And it still doesn’t explain why Jake was taken by Helena-or how- if they thought Jake was the donor all these years, why would Jax’s seek out Frank Benson– unless he sought him out before Jake die, yet when Jake died wouldn’t Jax’s say– hey I already got a kidney–how does Jake fit into the Jax’s buying a kidney story– the two story threads do not mesh– It would have made more sense if Jerry Jack’s was involved- that Jax’s went to him for a kidney– at least Jerry and Helena have a connection — they fake Jake’s death, kidnap him for whatever reason they still haven’t said– and substitute Nelle’s kidney for what everyone thought was Jake’s– but who were these doctors and how was this switch was made, is still unclear— as you said this story line is plain crazy

SO stupid and the whole rewrite of how Carly thought the kidney came from Jake Webber. Just SO stupid.

I’m happy to see that GH characters are being brought back…if not permanently then at least more so than we’ve had in recent years. Jax, Bobby, Scott, Lucy, Robin, Ned, Olivia Jerome…I’d like to see them all on contract but I know that’s not going to happen. So it’s fun and welcome whenever any of these “peeps” pop up in town. It adds to the continuity and just as in life, friends and family come and go. I love “returns”. I’d STILL like to see AJ brought back…I really don’t care what lame excuse they invent. Hmph! :)

Agreed, love little Emma Drake. Brooklyn could teach a few of the adult actors a few tricks of the trade; she’s got more talent than some of the adults on the show.

Watching a movie with Tyler Christopher /Nick I absolutely loathe what they have done to long time veterans not interested in this show do not care if our network ever picks abc up again ! FV treats the oldies like crap but we get non stop air time from his buddies who over act on every turn

Glad to hear that they are returning. I think everyone needs to lay off on the criticism of the writers. Great actors cannot just look at the screen and get nominated or even win an Emmy without the words of the writing team. And GH continues to dominate the top Emmy nominations with wins in the past few years. My Emmy picks:
Best Drama: B&B (will win) or GH (should win)
Best Actor: Senior Steal Peter Bergman (Y&R) or Scott Clifton (B&B)
Actress: Nancy Lee Grahn or Laura Wright from GH (toss it up) – Only Gina Tognoni (Y&R) could steal it.
    Supporting Actor: Chad Duel (GH)
    Supporting Actress: Finola Hughes (GH)
    Younger Actor: Bryan Craig (GH)
Younger Actress: Chloe Lanier or Lexi Ainsworth (GH) toss it up
    Writing: B&B or GH

All we have left of GH is a few good scenes here and there so I’m sure KMc and Brooklyn will supply us with some of those. The good part is I have lots of time on my hands to do other things besides trying to figure out what the story is that they’re trying to write on this show.
