The big news out of Port Charles today is a happy one for long time GH fans! Kimberly McCullough has returned to General Hospital to reprise her iconic and enduring role of Robin Scorpio Drake! Look for her to make her re-emergence onto the scene in November.
The annoucement first came from GH executive producer Frank Valentini who related at ABC.com, “Kimberly is part of our GH family and everyone is happy to welcome her home. There is some really cool stuff planned for Robin. It’s a race against time and a trio is formed in a desperate attempt to help save a life that hangs in the balance, but that’s all you’re going to get out of me.”
McCullough added on her return to the canvas, “I can’t wait to get out of my scrubs! Although I can’t promise anything. Either way, I’m back to kick some butt and tell some truths!” And according to Soap Opera Digest, Kimberly has already shot one episode. And in turn that prompted GH’s head scribes Jean Passanante and Shelly Altman to share what lies ahead for fans of Robin, and all of her unresolved plot points!
Jean shared: “Robin’s fate is something that has been sort of hanging out there in the universe, waiting to be addressed, and (due to) circumstances beyond anyone’s control, really, we haven’t been able to do anything with it. But now we can.” Shelly Altman chimed in with: “There have been a lot of unanswered questions for a long time, that we’re really very excited to be able to answer.”
So, what do you think of the news of McCullough’s latest return to GH? Will it help resolve the relationship between Patrick and Robin? Will Robin’s return help faciliate the rumored exit of Jason Thompson (Patrick)? Will Robin come back and help her mother Anna (Finola Hughes) through a difficult time? Will Robin help figure out the mystery of “Jake” (Billy Miller)? And will we learn that Helena (Constance Towers) had her whisked away? So many questions left unanwered! Comment below!
