Circle your calendars for June 8th, as that is when Lauralee Bell’s pet project will have its debut on the internet. The web series titled, ”Family Dinner” was written and directed by everyone’s favorite ‘Cricket’! In what Bell describes to TV Guide’s Michael Logan as ” a little bit Roseanne and a little bit Arrested Development, only the writing is lamer.” Here is the premise: three minute installments featuring Bell as a manic, starve-for-attention mom who’s desperate to be on Oprah. Along side of her add: Phyllis Diller, as her senile mother-in-Law, Tim Reid as her hubby, and Dan Cortese as a reality show producer, who is considering putting this dysfuctional unit on TV.
You can find the series at www.funnyordie.com and www.familydinneronline.com, and still rumors persist that now that Thom Bierdz is back on “Y&R”, that Bell’s Christine ( formerly previously, stated “Cricket”) could be back in the fold sooner than later, but for now she had plenty of family drama to deal with. Good luck Lauralee with this new endeavor.<
