145 March 27th, 2016 Michael Easton Begins His Journey As His New GH Character Dr. Hamilton Finn: What Were Your Impressions After His First Week Of Episodes?

Courtesy/ABC

Last week on General Hospital, viewers witnessed the first three appearances of Michael Easton’s return to the series in his new character, Dr. Hamilton Finn.  The new doc Easton is inhabiting (his last GH outing was that of Dr. Silas Clay) on the surface has an extremely quirky side as written and played by the daytime fan favorite.

“Finn”, as he reveals he likes to be called, comes to GH thanks to Monica Quatermaine (Leslie Charleson) since he is an infectious disease specialist.  Monica called him to come consult on her sister-in-law Tracy’s (Jane Elliot) case.

When Finn shows up at GH, he brings with him his “service pet” lizard (a bearded dragon) named Roxy.   He quickly asks Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) at the nurses station to have a candy striper, or someone look after Roxy and feed her the crickets he brought with him in a paper back.  While looking shocked, Elizabeth also touches upon the startling resmenblance of Dr. Finn to the late Dr. Clay.  Later, the conversation happens again with the other characters where Finn says, “Guess I have one of those faces!”   Still later, the lookalike issue is addressed at Tracy’s bedside with Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) when Finn says, “Does it bother you that half your staff believes in the supernatural?”  While consulting on Tracy’s case, Finn says he knows he has a terrible bed side manner to the cantakerous Quartermaine.  Finn goes on to explain that Tracy actually has an infestion of worms in her brain.  It is treatable via medication, but the success rate isn’t 100%.

Dr. Finn also has a new home … the Metro Court hotel where he will be staying for the very forseeable future.  But his first moments in the Port Charles establishment don’t go over so well.  That includes a member of the housekeeping staff freaking out over seeing Roxy, his pet lizard.   Enter Carly (Laura Wright), who comes by with champagne to welcome her “permanent” guest.  Finn says to Carly: “I take it from the screaming she’s not coming back.”   However, now Finn is panicked he cannot find Roxy, who got scared because of the housekeeping staff member’s screams.  Carly soon learns that Roxy is Finn’s “service pet”.  When she tries to dig as to why Finn has a service pet, he kindly fires back, “It’s killing you that I won’t tell you what I have Roxy for.”  Carly answers, “Yes!”

After finding Roxy, and later alone, Finn lshares a moment the reptile where he says, “What do you think Roxy?  I think you’re right … we’re going to be happy here.”

So all this begs the questions:  Why do you think Finn has a reptile as a service pet?  What did you think of the reintroduction of Easton to GH in a new character and starting to establish him as a much quirkier character than his past incarnations on the soap? Are you looking forward to seeing how it plays out and how the character develops … or are you already not intrigued?  Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

Loving Michael Easton’s intro as FINN! He’s hilarious, a little nerdy, confident, smart, & gorgeous. Can’t wait to see more of his story unfold. And his little friend, Roxy, too!!

    “Hilarious, confident, smart and gorgeous.”

I couldn’t disagree more. And I don’t mean to be contrary to another poster, single out their post, argue with them specifically or tell them they aren’t entitled to their opinion as if mine is the correct one. We all like different things.

It’s just I’m so sick of this Micheal Easton stuff. I notice that he is referred to in the article as a “fan favorite.” But is he a GENERAL HOSPITAL fan favorite?

I get he has fans out there, whatever that really means. There are women who dig him and who have for years. But he is not a strong actor with diverse enough skills to sell another character and so soon. He has a very distinct look and a very distinct voice and if he is going for quirky and interesting, yes there’s an element to it, yes that’s not what his other characters were and no he is not good at it.

There’s just so much OTT hype and praise about his return and his portrayal in just two episodes. All this attention and ink to try and make this some huge deal when it is what it is, Frank getting his friend back on the show.

I never watched OLTL and I love Michael Easton! So , for this GH fan he’s an absolute fan favorite! Fans fought for his return and they all watch GH!

    Kevin replied

I agree. He was a fan favorite as John McBain on OLTL. Easton as Silas on GH was a total bore. I did catch a couple scenes with Carly and the lizard last week, something playful and different about Finn. Hope Easton can create the kind if magic he did on OLTL!

    Becca replied

Matilda, you are absolutely entitled to your opinion but clearly your objective here was to find fault with Taylor and the other 1000′s of people who are thrilled Michael Easton is back. If you honestly wanted to simply share your opinion because you felt that it was valid enough to stand on it’s own, you would have left a separate comment below. Instead, your likely terror that Michael Easton’s fans out number you by a WIDE margin and I’m guessing your possible ship agenda led you to pick on Taylor. From now on you might consider another method of madness. Move along please.

    TayloRose replied

That’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it. And as you said “We all like different things”. I don’t happen to agree, and clearly others feel the same as I do, including other posters here on this page.

From what I’ve seen across social media platforms and in print, so far, the response to Michael Easton’s return to GH and the introduction of his new character FINN, has been overwhelmingly positive.

However, the great thing about soaps, if you don’t like a particular character like FINN, there are other characters to enjoy.

    Have a nice day!

    Debbie replied

If you didn’t want to be contrary to another poster why did you reply on her post. Please. This may be your opinion but it’s certainly not the response I’ve been seeing. I’m seeing an overwhelmingly great response to Michael’s return.
Michael IS a GENERAL HOSPITAL fan favorite. Go to any GH fan event and it’s evident.

So sorry to be contrary to your post but I couldn’t disagree more

    Rhiannon replied

Thanks for your assessment but if you don’t like it.. Don’t watch!!!

    Matilda replied

    Lol! to the responses.

First, yes I responded to TaylorRose, I said that my intent was not to be contrary to her specifically, that I was not singling her out personally and that my opinion was not absolute or more valid than her’s. I responded to her post, specifically to the adjectives that she used and stayed on topic. I did not fault her for her opinion or her motives. I did not make it personal. This is a discussion board, I addressed the adjectives and used them as a springboard for my own sentiments.

But again, it was not personal and my post stayed on topic, unlike the other responses, questioning my motives, explaining that I am wrong and outnumbered.

But again the responses that make it personal, like Becca who tells me of my “terror” that I am outnumbered. my “madness” and about my “ship agenda.” LOL! Ship agenda! This is the problem right there. People who think everyone watches soaps like they do, with shipping couples and fawning over actors. This is why GH is dying. Catering to those type of fans and little fanbases; Ship wars, baiting etc. Oh and of course the fan events and the women who pay for the Michael Easton event. That’s what it’s about, a roomful of women who want to be near an actor; not about writing and producing a show where story comes first and is rooted in GH history and families. Let’s get Easton back, have him try and act quirky and his “thousands” of fans can talk about how great he is. This is why GH has no chance at getting back a significant number of lapsed viewers and why it will remain where it is.

And in terms of all the positive responses on social media to Michael’s return. depends where you go. There is so much negative commentary on sites that I see and especially on twitter; discussing the ridiculousness of his return and the ridiculousness of this contrived “quirky” character with the lizard.

    Roz replied

GH was on in my household when I came home from the hospital as a baby. My earliest memories of the show start in the mid-seventies. I remember when Luke came to town etc. Thank God I am not not one of those GH vet snobs . I love GH vets I love non vets too, and I am willing to give them a chance. When I was a pre teen I started watching other soaps as a young adult I saw Easton’s work on Days and I followed him to the GH spinoff Port Charles then watched him on OLTL and Kelly Monaco on GH. I really get ticked when TPTP listen to a handful of haters and get rid of one my favorites or end a couple etc. When Easton was let go I decided to take a stand I was one of the 14,408 fans that signed a petition to get him back. We called the comment line wrote letters etc. I laugh when I hear people call Easton Frank’s friend, pet etc if he was those things do you think he would have been fired in the first place? I am so happy he is back for those who do not like it just fast forward, read or ignore that ‘s what I do when something or someone is on GH that I do not like.

    Timmm replied

This is not insulting, this is your opinion. I agree with you. Fans love him but I think they tend to be from OLTL? I like the actor but as I stated, if your going to reboot Silas, reboot Franco and let Roger be Valentin Cassadine!

    Timmm replied

Matilda, I apologize for the close minded fans that attacked you for having an opinion. What makes America great is freedom of speech, freedom of choice. I KNEW if anyone spoke out differently about Easton’s return they would be burnt at the stake. God bless you and keep watching GH!

    Pati Thomas replied

Michael Easton is not just a soap actor, he has a wide variety of talents, including being an author. Ever heard of “Eighteen Straight Whiskeys”?
Maybe Finn is actually Caleb Morley, a mysterious, passionate and ambiguous character from Port Charles (not the terrible re-write from GH).

    Molly replied

Making a distinction between ‘’fan favorite’’ and ‘’General Hospital fan favorite’’ is narrow-minded and ludicrous. Viewership is critical to a show’s success, so there will be efforts to expand that viewership by bringing in talent that draws in viewers, including ‘fan favorites’ with a strong following. All the “hype and praise” may not suit the negative agenda of some, but that is exactly what this show needs.

While the distinctive appearance and voice make Easton recognizable in playing another character, it is also those qualities that make him incredibly unique and highly marketable. GH/ABC made a smart move bringing him back. Being able to play several different characters on the same show in a relatively short timeframe is testament to Easton’s remarkable talent. He has the ability to transform from one character to another through the subtlest nuances.

I was never a General Hospital fan until a couple of years ago when I saw Michael Easton on the show. I was immediately captivated by his strong screen presence and I felt compelled to watch.

As for the character of Finn, I find him intriguing, witty, intelligent, and eccentric. There is gorgeousness involved, but that’s Michael.

    Harry replied

Love Michael Aston, but I also love Matilda.
I totally understand what is you are saying, Matilda.
I am cringing for Michael here. This is just not good.

    Matilda replied

Roger Howarth, Michelle Stafford, Maura West, Michael Easton, Rebecca Budig, William DeVry, Billy Miller. All supposedly huge soap stars with huge fanbases and GH ratings stink. The theory that these actors draw fans is a fallacy and that is shown in the ratings. This is General Hospital. GH fans would like to see a show with characters and actors they have loved for years.

For whatever number of viewers these actors might draw to the show, like those who talk about “gorgeousness”, they obviously repel a larger number who would want to watch General Hospital.

I know that he has a problem, Of course he does he had a service reptile. I just hope they don’t drag out his problem and reveal his diagnosis soon. And Please please don’t let Elizabeth come to the rescue to Fin.

I love Michael Easton but not Roxy nor the repeated references to him looking familiar. We get it, we know, move on. But I think the “quirky” is their way of disguising him as harmless and good saving Tracy but his power and Cassadine heritage will turn quirky to dark.

CeeCee…not so much risqué but a story told in a very strange way. Sorta like the underbelly of a what appears on the surface as a Currier and Ives, along with very interesting characters. Not even sure I can say I love it, but you find you want to find out what happens next episode…almost mesmerizing. And Ray Wise is very “interesting.” Plus, you get an earlier look at Duke/Ian in earlier role of a not so stellar dandy. They will be doing a reboot from what I’ve read.

    CeeCee replied

    Thanks, Rose.

    Shay replied

OMG, CeeCee, you have to check out “Twin Peaks!” Think Norman Rockwell on acid, and you have the gist of David Lynch’s highly-quirky creation….I’ve waxed nostalgic about this long-defunct ABC-TV show many a time already….let’s just say you have to see it to believe it!

Thanks, Shay….I shall check TWIN PEAKS out.

CeeCee…An idea, in prep for the reboot I found copies of the original at my local library. Easier than youtube.

    Shay replied

@CeeCee…..You’re most welcome! But be forewarned, don’t expect this surreal odyssey into a cockeyed view of smalltown Americana to make any sense whatsoever….it’s a true brainteaser that I do believe was never meant to have a real solution….the fun is in experiencing Lynch’s mysterious, loopy vision. If you overthink it, you will get nowhere….and I am speaking as one who knows….if you believe we overanalyze GH, well, that’s nothing compared to the unanswerable questions that abate in Twin Peaks! Oh, and for the record, “Dick Tremayne” is the character portrayed by Ian Buchanan…..

I like Finn so far, and I like what Easton is doing with the role. Quirky isn’t reserved for one show or genre — the world being full of all sorts of people, including quirky. Spinelli was an incredibly quirky character, by the way. So is Lucy Coe. So I have zero problems with one being introduced on GH.

As for characters ‘lurking’ before being introduced… really? Mac didn’t lurk; he was pulled out of the drink by brother Robert and then unceremoniously tossed back in. Spinelli didn’t lurk either; he was full-on out there from the word go. Frisco Jones? A member of Blackie and the Riff Raff who caught on with viewers and evolved into a leading man. Robert Scorpio? Did not lurk.

So again… I’ve no problem so far with the way Finn is being introduced.

As for the splitting hairs between fan favorite/GH fan favorite crap — I categorically dismiss that as ridiculous, and that’s my opinion of that.

I’m very happy to see Easton back, and I’m looking forward to seeing how his character is developed and integrated onto the canvas. He’s a charismatic actor who I, among others, find very watchable, compelling, and interesting. Not everyone is going to feel that way, and that’s fine. There are plenty of actors or characters I could do without, too. However, Easton isn’t one of them for me, and it seems quite a lot of others feel the same. So I’d say the show was spot-on bringing him back, and I personally am glad they did it.

As long as Dr. Finn gets a good story, and his backstory has meaning and purpose, I’m in. I already appreciate the fact that he’s different from everyone else on the canvas because of his quirks, and he isn’t just a carbon copy of Silas. He seems to have much more of a personality and mystery behind him.

And I’m hoping that mystery turns out to be his connection to a core family, like the Cassadines or even the Quartermaines. The only thing is, if he turns out to be Valentin Cassadine, I don’t want him to be a stereotypical GH villain – over the top, cartoonish, and only a threat for a short period of time. I’m hoping ME sticks around GH this time and they can formulate a long-term plan for his character, whoever he turns out to be.

@MarySF I don’t see Ron Carlavati doing alien stories or any of that at all. He respected the genre and legacy and legacy characters and there were no vampires or freezing the world or any of the such. He brought on Donna Mills, whom I am a huge fan of and so is Ron and she won her only Emmy under his watch and even she kind of dissed him after he was canned. I miss his wit and humor and the faster pace when he was at the helm. I do not miss Tony and his treatment of Genie Francis and Ron. I am curious how the ratings are now compared to when Ron was headwriter as I doubt they have improved any great deal.

    Reply

    Alanna replied

They’ve improved a great deal, actually. At this time last year the show was suffering constant and continuous losses in the demos by hundreds of thousands of viewers. They were tying lows and then hitting new lows over a four-month period, with no gains and no recovery through May sweeps of 2015 and beyond. I believe at the time the phrase being used was ‘bleeding out’ — not exactly words that make networks want to jump up and down with joy.

While not wildly gaining huge increases yet, the current regime appears to have cauterized that wound and recovered some much-needed traction and stabilization in the ratings. That is decidedly better than the situation twelve months ago.

The ratings improved considerably when Ron and Frank came aboard and last February sweeps showed very high ratings for GH. If GH thrives now, I am happy as I have watched it since Dr. Hardy and Audrey days. There have been long periods I tuned out and after AMC and OLTL died, I crawled back to GH and when Ron’s writing came on I found I could not miss an episode. We all have our favorites and those we don’t care for or stories we think are great or horrid and I think that shows all of our passions for these programs and in some ways the characters and stories are our extended families.

    Timmm replied

I miss some of Ron’s camp and humor but it seemed he wrote to shock or surprise but then had no idea where to go with the story after that? Jean and Shelly are doing okay. It doesnt matter who is writing, you can never please everyone. These women are doing much better than their previous stint at Y&R. As for Tony, I dont miss him yet but I do like him. I understand he walked away with his two middle fingers in the air but he did what others might do when retiring from Westinghouse or Coca Cola? As for Genie, she is a grown women, stop defending her. Not saying you, but in general. She always didnt want to be on GH. She had a husband who was very successful and she didnt have to or want to work. The biggest part of Tony and Genie wasnt them it was that Tony was over with Luke & Laura. He was tired of that and wanted the fans to move on! So when fans wanted that reunion and happy ending, Tony would have rather killed Luke off! Some people are like that. Michael Keaton didnt just want to be Batman but Adam West embraced it!

Loved Ron and his writing but not everything. Eva Longoria nailed it when she said on tv the Divas with their tantrums and bad behavior are women in prirmetime and the men of daytime. Delicious, sweet and true. Ron likes female divas -as do I- and don’t think that went over too well and perhaps he became a diva himself. Live and, hopefully, learn. Time will tell, and speaking of tell, please, somebody- write a tell-all -Kitty Kelly are you listening? I want the real dirt on daytime and the fights and tantrums and hirings and firings and Susan Lucci vs Sara Michelle Gellers and Michael Muhney and …..

Michael Easton is a good actor but… didn’t Silas Clay start out “quirky” and ended up kind of boring? And why would you kill off Easton’s old character, only to bring him back as a new one? To me, this shows how the producers don’t think things through and are impulsive.

The trial he has been put through creatively has surely earned him even higher respect and admiration from his peers! Easton deserves an Emmy! A lifetime achievement Emmy at his young age for these past few years! I can’t wait to see what comes next, I only hope the writers give him the quality material he is capable and worthy to have and portray to us! He is gift and a joy to watch. Thank you ABC for giving him back to us! You are lucky to have him.

Oh, Frank, what an excellent idea! A good, old-fashioned plague or some other pathogenic episode courtesy of Finn would do very nicely toward eliminating so much of the “dead wood” that the GH “tree” has been bearing for far too long! Let’s name some names…..

  43. Rodd says:

So far, “Finn” seems different from Michael’s other characters. “Finn’s” a bit quirky and whether the writers intended that or Michael infused that into the character himself, it needs to stay. Otherwise, we just have “Dr. Clay” back using a different name.

The lizard is a weird choice, but I hope they don’t just forget about it as time goes on. It helps make “Finn” unique; a different take on the crazy-cat-lady.

@Peggy….I’m sorry I failed to answer your question….I had intended to get back here to do so, but ended up getting fixated on that other GH thread where you had so many delicious posts—what fun they were! So, you now have a grasp on the concept of “shipping.” Really rather silly, isn’t it? Especially with all those crazy commingled names!! I guess the best recent example of ship wars on GH was with Sam/Jason (“Jasam”) vs. Liz/ Jason (“Liason”) fans….I liked both pairings, so I had no skin in the game, but needless to say, the debates on social media became quite heated, not that I follow that sort of thing. MFSoaps is my one and only site to make comment! At any rate, I agree about Finn staying “single and ready to mingle”….or not, if Roxy has anything to say about it! LOL….I think he has a very interesting tale to tell, and should remain all about that as his sole focus…let’s just hope Carly doesn’t throw a monkey wrench into that plan–she has this annoying tendency to be a one-woman welcoming committee whenever a new, eligible man shows up in Port Charles!

Shay- thanks so much- Peggy is in the hospital, but we did discuss this and shipping is short for relationship? And single shippers only care about one couple being together no matter what and on and on? Is that right- and baiting what is that I thought it was a fishing term but am guessing like saying things to get someone upset of something? In my opinion this is the best soap site but recently saw dozens set up on facebook and closed groups and some on there and twitter that are just plain evil mean nasty. Yes and the weirdo names and alliances that seem more suited to survivor. I now understand why OJ was acquitted.

  45. Vet from the Get (abc soaps) says:

I am a big fan of Michae Easton- He can do no wrong in my book.the only time I ever watched a soap on another tv station was when Michael played Tanner from ’90 to ’92. He has charm and grace, along with a self depreciating humbleness and humor. Imho Michael actually has the best sense of humor of any actor out there (Roger Howarth is a close second, along with Anthony Geary, and Kamar De Los Reyes) and subtly uses it wherever and whenever he can. He was and is so funny during q & a at fan fest or the old soap fests.
I just hope Michael is in a role that he can relish, will catch on with viewers and that will keep him on the canvas. That will be up to tptb to write him right this time.
Since I am and was for all the ABC soaps, I don’t care if an actor from a defunct ABC soap gets work on the last ABC soap still standing. I have never understood the fuss or controversy regarding “intruders from OLTL or AMC going to GH. It’s all in the ABC soaps family. If we soap fans don’t tune in for the good or for the bad, we won’t have a choice because the genre will be gone for good.

He is a fan favorite, maybe not to all but no one is. As far as his ESA animal being unusual, it is a fact that many have reptiles to help with their needs (Google it) .
I think that the fact that he was brought on canvas through Monica was brilliant, not just a random doctor. Standing up to Dr. O. also not something many do. Finn has already brought good reviews and a spark to the show that not many actors would. And the fact that they have included his resemblance to Silas is a plus , not acting like they did with his previous post. The anticipation of where this role goes is very intriguing and I for one am very glad that he is back.

No, GH doesn’t need another female character and Michael will be just fine with the females in the cast. I would love to see him with Jordan, I think the two of them would have chemistry. Although, I see nothing that has the potential to equal Renee and Michael’s fire, pairing him with Jordan could come close.

I couldn’t believe that was something people actually did for kicks, but alas, apparently those slimy little amphibians pack quite a “party punch”….or so I’ve read! How utterly gross….)

    CeeCee replied

LOL, Shaybelle. We are in agreement. Finn is self-medicating due to an infectious disease. Roxy is the “cure”. Ergo, the service pet. Her venom is keeping Finn in check.
As far as the little ‘froggies’…..I have seen it done by show-off boys trying to amaze, impress and attract the girls. Never worked….UGH!!!!…..plenty of those shenanigans on MV during summer break back in the day.
You know of the Back Bay area, yes? A certain University? I much preferred hanging there….unless a certain someone happened to be on MV. LOL.
I am really interested in this Finn/Roxy story. I sense an affinity between Carly and Finn. Am I way off?
Well, much more compelling stuff with the Finn character…..could give a fig about Claudette and her story. Poor Maxie. She should not pine or worry or feel ‘betrayed’. Way past her bed time to be in the throes of juvenile adoration and begging for attention. I love her, her clothes, her personality….but, not when beholden to a man who lied to her.
You know how beautiful I think Nathan is; but he was not forthcoming. I don’t like that in a relationship.
Speaking of clothes: Maxie looked so fresh….simply gorgeous!
And, did you notice Sam’s shoes? To die for.

    Shay replied

I don’t know, CeeCeeGirl, normally with Carly, there is definitely a sexual component to most of her male relationships! It just seemed to me that her plying Roxy with those organic greens was merely a matter of stealing Finn’s heart through his lizard! Hah! (But please prove me wrong…no, just no, to that notion!) As for Sam and her luscious stilettos? I knew they weren’t Louboutins due to the lack of those telltale red soles, but I’m not sure that I can envision Ms. Morgan going all YSL or GZ either….a bit too haute for her! (Maybe if Diane Miller were her mother, given that legalista has a seriously expensive yen for the chaussures!) But I digress….I do see an upcoming end to Nathan and Maxie….this Claudette thing is going to get worse, not better, so it is time for her to move on, meaning this would be an optimum time for JohnnyZ to reappear on the GH scene. As for Griffin, I do understand your reticence regarding his character coupling up with Anna….something is oddly amiss with him, but exactly what???? There seems to be a very unspoken, yet mighty, connection between Anna and this mysterious medico….a crackling chemistry. When I see her gazing at him, there is nothing motherly about it….he stirs her soul, and I don’t think that it would be far-fetched to imagine that she inspires the same reaction in him. I must say, you know how vehemently I nix the notion of newbies, but our Griffin has definitely already make his mark and earned a place on the GH canvas….he has a charm and appeal that I’ve not seen in many moons, and I have been drawn in by his enigmatic quality, unsettling as his true story may become in the future…..finally, a fresh face that I can love! (Along with the introduction of Michael Easton’s Finn, I’m actually interested in two new characters at once! That hasn’t happened since the early days of Britt and Dr. O!) Lastly, in terms of your “Back Bay Boy?” Yep, I knew precisely to what (and whom) your fond recollections were referring! Ah, ain’t memories grand????

    Shay replied

@CeeCee….Did I notice Sam’s sexy black stilettos? Hello, Girlfriend! Yes, I certainly did! Loved them….guess spring really is in the air in Port Charles now that Sammy’s finally removed her boots! (Never ceases to amaze me our mutually-keen eyes for detail….it’s like we have a telepathic GH viewing party going on….LOL!) And whilst we’re on the subject of fashion? Maxie was looking so sweet and immaculate in her crisp, warm weather whites, then Nathan had to go and diss her sartorial bliss with that awful Claudette business. I’m not sure I even care about this mysterious ex-wife deal….it is sounding too much like Silas and his long-drawn out Nina nonsense….and we all know how well that lame storyline turned out! But you are so right about Miss Jones….her own dignity and self-esteem are at stake….she needs to wash that man right out of her hair and move on….other fish in the sea!!!! (Maybe Finn…or even Griffin, although I truly am picking up on some very strong romantic vibes with Anna. They would make a compelling and beautiful couple….non-traditional, but I could certainly relate to their mutual attraction…it would be based upon respect and an emotional connection to Duke, not just getting physical like, well, you know!) In terms of Carly with ME’s quirky, yet strangely endearing, Finn? No. I don’t like the way she always moves in on the new meat in Port Charles….plus, she is supposedly happily married???? Just no. That coupling does nothing for me….Finn needs to stay single for awhile….the only girl he needs in his life right now is Roxy! But when the time comes for him to mix and mingle, let it be with one of the “sweet petites” : Liz (?) or yes, maybe KS’s Maxie—although I’d still love for BB’s JohnnyZ to make a return engagement so this real-life couple could share some airtime together. I tend to envision the perfect pairing to be sized proportionately, and the fine-framed Michael looks best with a tiny woman…..like Sam, although probably not this time around! As for the MV frog tales? Yuck, just yuck….young guys can be so goofy with their attention-seeking exploits: I can completely understand why you much preferred the more cosmopolitan Back Bay area and its resident “charms.” (Or perhaps its charming “resident” would be more precise, eh there, CeeCeeGirl?)

And, yes. I would love to see Maxie and Johnny in a relationship on GH. I caught Brandon in a couple of episodes of MAJOR CRIMES.
Anna and Griffin? I don’t know, Shaybelle. That concept does not sit too well with me. If Griffin were not Duke’s son; or, if there were no nagging doubts as to his agenda I would be okay with that notion.
I like Griffin so far….very ‘accommodating’, both to the eye, and to the psyche. But, there is that…the ‘but’. I still feel there’s more here than meets the eye.
As Timmmbo intimated, Anna would be a great ornament on any man’s arm and make him ‘look good’.
Yes, Shay…..you are very intuitive. The Back Bay area holds very sweet, goose-bumpy memories for me. You know there does exist a world-renowned Medical School in its midst. Ahhh, that Charles River!! LOL.

The pet lizard is clearly a gimmick. If you pull out the prop, I think Finn is a somewhat kinder gentler Silas with some eccentricity thrown in. I’ll give it a base hit, but not the extra bases/home run that was needed to declare this venture the smashing success it needed to be in order to redeem his prior characters’ failures.
