Remember when The Bold and the Beautiful’s Zack Conroy (Oliver) was in his underwear, wearing only a cowboy hat and serenading Amber with his guitar last November? (See image) Well now, New York City’s famous Naked Cowboy, is suing CBS over the scenes! According to TMZ Naked Cowboy, known as Robert John Burck, a fixture in Times Square, is suing the network for trademark infringement, among other things, and asking for $1.5 million in damages. Burck is claiming that not only did the sexy scenes violate his trademark, but CBS promoted that clip on their website and YouTube with “Naked Cowboy” attached to it.
This is the not the Naked Cowboy’s first time at the infringement rodeo! In 2008, he reportedly settled a $4 million suit against the Mars candy company for featuring a blue M&M dressed in “his” outfit on the Jumbotron screen outside M&M’s World store in Times Squares. In addition, he has in the past, filed another lawsuit against his female counterpart, former stripper, Sandy Kane who was calling herself, “The Naked Cowgirl”.
How this all shakes out between the NC and CBS…stay tuned!
