Come home to Nashville! Just how will the revamped music city soap opera look and feel on its new cable network and under new showrunners? The first answer may come tonight when CMT decides to bring Nashies some Christmas love early.

That’s because part one of the two part season premiere will air at 9PMET/PST, with the full two-hour season premiere slated for January 5th. Viewers should look for the fate of Juliette’s (Hayden Panettiere) plane going MIA, and the ramifications for those she knows to be a big part of the episode, as well as Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten) dealing with Highway 65′s financial issues and more.

Here’s a sneak peek promo for Nashville season 5 after the jump that reminds us all where the stories left off on the season 4 cliffhanger on ABC, and what to watch for in the months to come! Excited for tonight? Which couple is your favorite on the soapy drama? Comment below.

Very good news indeed. I have great hope and confidence in this reboot on CMT. We just may see the series NASHVILLE was intended to be before the Alphabet suits got involved.

The “alphabet suits” created Nashville and I personally loved it. I was rooting for some station to pick it up and was thrilled when CMT did. With that said Connie Britton’s leaving and two characters I loved…Luke and Layla…particularly Luke…have been written out. So_ yes, I’ll check it out and am hoping for the best but I’m not happy with the changes.

I did not know Connie Briton was leaving. I also did not know Luke and Layla had been written out. I think that is a huge mistake because the audience really became attached to both of those characters.
I watched Nashville’s sneak peek last night without realizing it was a sneak peak.
That explains why I was so confused (if only I had an explanation for other instances of being confused).
That said, I really liked what I saw last night. It looks promising.
