Contrary to earlier reports from TV Guide, now comes word via ABC Soaps In Depth directly from a spokesperson for soap icon, Susan Lucci, that the woman who made Erica Kane a household name has not decided one way, or the other, to continue with All My Children when it moves online!

According to SID:   “I don’t think she’s made any decisions,” says Lucci’s rep. “She’s talking to lots of people, and to the best of my knowledge, she hasn’t made any plans.”

The drama continues on just how much of the television versions of  AMC and OLTL  will be intact when they land on the Internet.  But we have to say, this whole thing is turning into quite a soap opera of its own!

I’m sure they aren’t supposed to really be telling us yet anyway. Don’t think the real news will come out for a couple weeks. I’m sure they don’t want to hand out name by name that could be bad for them. I believe many good actors will stay.

Didn’t Erica Kane have a show called, “New Beginnings?” I hope Susan realizes this is one of them and decides to stay. Pine Valley won’t be the same without her. Yes, this is a “New Beginning” for AMC and OLTL. Will it end here on the web? Who knows what tomorrow brings. I’m looking forward to this as a start. You never know what will follow. Back on TV maybe? Yet another “New Beginning.” Good luck to all the cast. I’m hoping that most will decide to give this a chance. Fans truly fought with everything in them and this is a start!

I think its going to be interesting to see what kind of loyalty the actors themselves have to these shows and their fans!!

I QUITE AGREE! I HAVE SAID MANY TIMES, I WOULD BE WILLING TO PAY FOR THE SOAPS AS I PAY FOR MOVIES, ETC.. SO WHY NOT DO OUR SHARE FOR AMC & OLTL! I COULD BE WRONG, BUT I THINK WABC/TV STILL HAS A HAND IN THE SHOWS AND WILL STILL BE PART OF THE SHOWS… IN CASE THEY CHANGE THEIR MINDS, THEY WILL NOT BE LEFT OUT IN THE COLD..SO TO SPEAK!
I HOPE THE ACTORS/ACTRESSES WILL AGREE THAT ITS BETTER TO HAVE A PAY CUT THAN NO PAY AT ALL… AS LONG AS IT IS A LIVEABLE WAGE.
I WISH THEM ALL WELL AND LOOK FORWARD TO CONTINUING TO WATCH! ON-LINE AS WELL!!

Hey, I will take what I can get. This is a MAJOR victory! This is what we asked for; the continuation of our soaps. This may be a new era for the soap world. If successful, it may start may other new soaps. The Bay and Venice have done very well, because of fan support.
