Jori Petersen, the ABC Daytime VP PR guru told TV Guide Magazine that One Life to Live is not going anywhere contrary to fans getting in more of an uproar when news broke of a possible Tori Spelling talk show, that might shake up the ABC Daytime block of three soaps.  Since One Life had been the show lowest in the ratings, Petersen took time out to calm the fears.  ”We want OLTL to succeed and are doing everything we can to facilitate that. We want the show to be fantastic and robust. There are no plans for cancellation.”

Then, Petersen addressed the swirling rumors that OLTL head scribe, Ron Carlivati will be given the heave-ho when his contract expires with the show due to the hiring  of current ATWT scribe, Jean Passanante. “Jean was brought in to help Ron at Ron’s request. There are plans to take the show in a new and different direction, and we have absolute confidence that Ron will make that happen. The network in firmly behind him.”

So what will the new direction be?  Stay tuned.

Finally, we can relax and enjoy the show knowing that all these cancellation rumours are false. Hopefully the new direction will involve a “Kish” return!

If there was a show to enjoy, then I might watch. But after axing Kish and seeing how OLTL and the ABC network treated them, I won’t be watching at all, no matter what they do, unless Kish is brought back again. A steady diet of Rex and Gigi every day is NOT going to keep OLTL on the air. They need to bring back Adrianna for Rex, as Gigi plain and simply SUCKS! She has to be the absolute worst actress on daytime!

I’m not so sure OLTL’s cancellation rumors ARE false either. After all, they will lie, cheat, demean their actors, and slap their fans in the face at the drop of a hat! Look at all the excuses Valentini gave the viewers about the Kish axing, even trying to “trash” their reputations in the process.

Nope, sorry, I don’t believe anything that comes from the ABC network or OLTL, and especially from Valentini and Frons. They ARE the problem with OLTL and ABC Daytime. As soon as the ABC network figures that out, they might be able to resolve their problems. Frons is the one who needs to be axed, and the sooner the better.

In the meantime, if Kish doesn’t return to the show, neither will I. And I was a lifetime viewer of the show and have watched since its first airdate.
