Exciting news One Life to Live and soap fans.  Six-time Daytime Emmy winner, Erika Slezak  (Ex-Viki) will be back on your screens in 2018 guest-starring on the brand new Fox medical drama series, The Resident!

Erika is set to appear in the ninth episode of the series which bows on Sunday January 21, with its Monday timeslot premiere the day following on January 22nd.  The Resident features former Revenge star, Emily Van Camp and a stellar cast.

According to Erika’s fan club president, Walter Miller, Erika flew to Atlanta November 27th where they shoot, and that her time in Atlanta was very busy. The cast and crew were great, as was the director.

The entire experience was a lot of fun, according to Erika.  No date has been announced for just when Erika’s episode will air, but stay tuned for further information.

According to Fox on its new series: “Focusing on three doctors at different stages of their careers and a dedicated young nurse, THE RESIDENT is a provocative new medical drama that rips back the curtain to reveal the truth of what really happens, both good and bad, in hospitals across the country. Meet DR. CONRAD HAWKINS (Matt Czuchry, “The Good Wife”), one of the best doctors at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. Charming, arrogant and only a third-year resident, Conrad does everything in the most unconventional way possible. Along with treating patients, Conrad believes it is his job to burst the illusions of first-year residents, like DR. DEVON PRAVESH (Manish Dayal, “Halt and Catch Fire”), and turn them into real-life doctors. Devon is an innocent idealist, who wears his finely tuned moral compass and passion for science like armor. With Conrad’s help, however, Devon quickly discovers the reality of his chosen profession is not what he imagined, and that ethical lines are often blurred. Nothing, not even the best medical school in the country, could have prepared him for what he’s about to learn. As Devon accompanies Conrad through the hospital’s halls, he meets distinguished chief of surgery DR. RANDOLPH BELL (Bruce Greenwood, “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story,” “Mad Men”), the face of the hospital and its most sought-after doctor, whose diminishing skills, and the errors they cause, are covered with the help of allies under his command; DR. MINA OKAFOR (Shaunette Renée Wilson, “Billions”), a rising star surgeon from Nigeria who is threatening Bell’s dominance, but who also is in the U.S. on a visa; and NICOLETTE NEVIN (Emily VanCamp, “Revenge”), one of Chastain Memorial’s most respected nurses and Conrad’s on-again-off-again romantic partner. While Conrad opens Devon’s eyes to the stark realities of hospital life, the once-optimistic young doctor soon realizes that the practice of medicine is a business, like any other. Not all patients are angels and not all doctors are gods, but one thing’s for sure: expectations are meant to be shattered.”

ughh that doesn’t look good, to me.. but that’s just me.

Those Doctor shows are dangerous for hypochondriac ‘s LOL
And, watching all types of weird ailments can make some believe they have all kinds of conditions LOL ..

Hypochondriac’s always thinks there’s something wrong with them physically and they always think they’re ill or are in danger of becoming ill and Doctor shows are dangerous for them LOL ..

Usually they are not about great stories cus’ they are mainly about death defying medical tragedies and they all seem much the same.
Like brain eating parasites LOL bad hearts and waiting for transplants..

Scrubs is the only exception, it focused mainly on the characters, that was/is good. And, highly doubtful there will ever be another Scrubs..

Hope all the Erica fans enjoying seeing her once again, just hope she’s not the dying one.

Bring back One Life to Live with a combination of ALL MY CHILDREN characters and produce it as a lead-in to General Hospital – THAT’S what ABC-TV should do – and of course they must have Erika Slezak for the role of Victora Lord.

You are so right Adam. So many of us have been saying that since the cancellations were announced. Too bad the alphabet network doesn’t listen.

I agree completely.Plus ABC could do crossovers between GH and OLTL/AMC.For example Nora has been on GH lately and so she could be like a crossover character from time to time.

Well looks like Erika was not in the episode Love Lost, I taped it then watched it last night. I was so excited to see her again, but alas she was not on episode 9. I miss Erika, I miss OLTL, which I watched everyday. Boo to ABC for removing OLTL. I will keep watching The Resident, I like this new show, but I can’t wait to see Erika again, I really do miss you.
