1 August 10th, 2010 OLTL’s Florencia Lozano’s new play set to open in NYC!

While Florencia Lozano, One Life to Live’s, Tea Delgado is battling for her life on-screen, off-screen Florencia is getting ready for the world premiere of her play underneathmybed. This is Lozano’s second full-length play that she has written, and the play has been in development since 2008.  Below is a part of the official press release, and how you can purchase your tickets if you are in the NYC area or visiting the Big Apple this fall!

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater continues its 16th season with the world premiere of underneathmybed, written by Florencia Lozano and directed by Pedro Pascal. Performances of underneathmybed begin Wednesday, September 1 at the Rattlestick Theatre (224 Waverly Place).  The official opening night is set for Friday, September 10. In underneathmybed, there’s something underneath Daisy’s bed…something or someone. Everything is not fine in Newton. The ghosts of a foreign dirty war invade the home of the chaotic Jimenez family, while a woman remembers the moment in her life when she disappeared for good.  The performance schedule is as follows: Wednesday – Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 3pm and Monday at 8pm. Tickets are $55 and are available by calling SmartTix at (212) 868-4444 or online at www.smarttix.com. For more information, please visit www.rattlestick.org.

Very excited for the opening of Florencia’s play in NYC. She is such an unbelievably talented actress. She must be very excited for the opening of the play that she has written, Underneath My Bed. I hope her upcoming absence on One Life to Live is due to the fact that she is so busy right now with the soon-to-be opening of the play. Despite the fact that she has an inoperable brain tumor on the show and is supposedly dying this week, I hope she will miraculously be brought back to us somewhere down the road. I have watched OLTL since the very beginning, and she is the one person I have become totally vested in. Her acting ability and the chemistry she has with the other characters on the show is amazing. She will be missed but will hopefully soon be back on the show. If not, best of luck in any endeavors she takes and especially her newly opening play.
