24 August 24th, 2011 OLTL’s Jerry verDorn reveals,”Prospect Park purchased all of our sets last month & the wardrobe dept inventory!”

The one and only Jerry verDorn (Clint Buchanan) of One Life to Live was the special guest today on the latest edition of the Blog Talk Radio Network series, Llanview PA. Radio .  During his interview, the hosts, Thomas and Trudy,  mentioned that when the show moves online via Prospect Park it may not be the same One Life to Live, but verDorn interjected and let it be known just how much of Llanview is coming with the show!

Jerry verDorn: “Well, I know something. We had a meeting with Prospect Park a couple of weeks ago. And the two guys who run the place, very innovative fellows,  assured us that they did not purchase our shows just to gut them and put them up with someone else’s name on it. (referring to both AMC & OLTL)  And you can believe them or not believe them, but they have been backed up by the fact that they purchased all of our sets last month and that is a tremendous amount of money spent. They purchased the wardrobe department and all of their inventory… and so the same sets and the same costumes and props are going to be there.  Once they agree to the basic actor agreement from the union, you will hear what actors are going to be there. My guess is a great majority of the actors will be there because we are not switching coasts. We are staying on the northeast.  So that is what I know.”

So what do you think of that soapers?  Looks like Prospect Park is doing their best to keep as much of Llanview intact when it makes it transition online and quite possibly to a rumored cable network too…did I hear Bravo?  Stay tuned.

on Bravo would be fantastic! I am so thankful they purchased the sets. Llanfair would not feel the same, and the Buenos Dias.

This is a good sign….. I am so excited for this. I hope that they find a cable network for them. I don’t care if it’s on Bravo, TBS, USA or A&E…..I’ll watch. Of course, I’ll watch it online too, but I pray that they can find a cable network, because I have a feeling that it will work out so much better on a cable network. Way to Go Prospect Park!!!

Just listened to that interview. It was really solid. Jerry had a lot of informative things to say. I’m sure we will see him on the OLTL V2. Great actor and a caring man with all he does for charity.

Wonderful news! Continuing OLTL with the same sets and costumes is very significant, along with the suggestion that most actors will return. For the first time, I feel I can realistically hope to see OLTL again. If only the major actors who exited early can be resigned, the Llanview we love will live again.

I listened to the interview and Jerry mentioned he thought OLTL would end on a Friday on ABC and begin again the following Monday on Prospect Park (14:50).

That is the best news I have heard since they were cancelled. This is factual, and shows this really may work. Now, fingers crossed most of the actors remain (and who knows, maybe even some others return?) Hooray!!

Yay!!! I’m glad the sets will be carried over, I mean, what would OLTL be without or with an odd looking Buenos Dias or Foxy Roxy’s Hair Haven or the Angel Square Hotel? LOL. This is great!!! I love Prospect Park already!!! :D *thumbs up!*

That is great! Hopefully most or all of the cast of both shows will go to the PP version. I keep getting surprised with the new information that keeps coming out. Sounds like these people have money and quite a budget, especially buying the sets and wardrobe and offering Lucci the same amount of money.
Suck on that Frons and ABC, you freaking morons!!!!

Thanks for the interview! I must admit I have been quite skeptical about the move to Prospect Park. Now I feel pretty good about it. The idea that PP is investing large amounts of money into the sets and costumes is a huge confidence boost about the proper continuation of OLTL. I was also worried about maintaining our key players…however, if they offered the Great Lucci a fine salary- perhaps we will maintain our heavy players too. Here’s hoping!

Good news all around! Hey- ABC, suck it!
