2 June 6th, 2015 Orlagh Cassidy In Talks To Join Meg Kelly’s Soap Opera, YEAR ROUNDERS!

More names familiar to daytime soap fans are interested in joining the new online soap opera coming from former DAYS and ATWT co-head scribe, Meg Kelly.

On-Air On-Soaps has learned that former Guiding Light favorite Orlagh Cassidy (Ex-Doris Wolfe) is in talks to join the upcoming soap, Year Rounders!

Cassidy said of her interest in becoming part of the cast of the new series: “I’ve always wanted to work with Meg Kelly for a very long time. I love Year Rounders. The script, plot line, and characters are original and exciting.  I also love the team she’s putting together.”

This isn’t Orlagh’s first foray into the online serial world having appeared in among others: Empire, and the comedic spoof on the behind-the-scenes of a soap opera, Steamboat.

However since her days as Doris Wolfe of Springfield, Cassidy had had featured film roles including in the Oscar-nominated film St. Vincent starring Bill Murray, and the soon-to-be-released indie Sisterhood of the Night with Cal Penn.

Orlagh has also been bouncing up all over primetime television, including appearances on Gotham and Mysteries of Laura with Debra Messing, and Law & Order: SVU.   You can catch the very in-demand and busy actress this Sunday night in the season finale of the HBO comedy series VEEP starring Julia-Louis Dreyfus
