66 April 16th, 2011 Rachael Ray very excited about replacements for OLTL & AMC!

Looks like syndicated talk show host and cooking expert, Rachael Ray, is the only person in America excited right now about the new replacement series for the just canned, One Life to Live and All My Children!

As announced this past Thursday by ABC Daytime President, Brian Frons, AMC’s replacement is the cooking show, The Chew! And, OLTL’s replacement show is a makevoer show, The Revolution. Ray was seemingly ectastic to have these concepts in the daytime mix. Rachael stated to Zap2it.com, “I think it’s exciting. My good friend Mario Batali and Michael Symon are going to be part of The Chew and I’m thrilled to see them join the roster.”

Ray also commented that now that Regis and Oprah will be off the daytime landscape as well, things are forever changed. “I will miss Regis, of course, but I will be excited to see Kelly Ripa with her new partner in 2012 I’m a big fan of Anderson Cooper, and he’s coming to daytime. I’m a big fan of Katie Couric, and she may be coming to daytime. Those will be fantastic afternoon shows, but I’m interested to see who joins up in the A.M. I always say, ‘The more, the merrier’. The cable and syndication landscapes are blurred, and I think there are more than enough viewers and customers out there for everybody. I’m really excited to see a lot of the new shows.”

Wow Rachael, you are a bit out of synch with the rest of us! How many more cooking and makeover shows do we all need on network television?

Mrs perfect Rachel Ray isnt all that perfect anyways wasnt it in the news awhile back that her marriage is in the shams and besides that Im pretty sure she steals her recipes from others and calls them her own! I cant stand people like her that thinks only of herself and her viewers. What about the viewers of the soaps? maybe she hates the soaps because she tried out for them and couldnt get a role because her acting SUCKS! I wont watch her show havent ever! She will lose alot of viewers because shes that much of an idiot! BOYCOTT this one too! Oh I think I know why she is agreeing with Frons because she is probably sleeping with him! Thats also probably why her show is still on the air too! BOYCOTT! BOYCOTT!

I always watched Rachel Ray’s show, now I will never watch her again in anything ever! ABC will see when it starts losing viewers, and Ms. Ray’s new show will also be boycotted, hopefully off the air!!

She’s a big moron is what she is. I hope she knows she just alienated ALOT of people…. I don’t watch her show either and don’t know anyone who does. I am frankly surprised she’s been on the air this long but I guess since her programming isn’t quality and that probably only have to pay her in those cooking supplies that she’s a cheap get. It would serve her right if The Chew chewed her on out of daytime too.

Of course she is on the air because Oprah got her started just like she got so many other shows started. I never watched her show just read an article that she is too selfish to ever have a child and she is great with that. Than an article of her gaining like 50 pounds in a short period of time. That is about it other than that she is mean for being happy all those people that got laid off and all their fans. I can’t wait to see her ratings drop!!!!!!! BYE BYE

u know what Rachel ray needs to be canceled and when this is all said and done she will be on the list.. i am so pissed off…
we need some of these soap stars to use their contacts discretely to help us get some serious coverage. If protest marches and boycotts of Disney and abc and talks of down stocks make national coverage then we will win… but they are sitting on their thumbs..

Leah, the Protest and Boycott dates have been released. I am just in this for Brian Frons’ head. He was after our shows since he came on ABC and it is time he sits on the shorter end of the stick for once. Here is the Info Website for the Actions… it doesn’t matter where you are… let your voice be heard. Even if it just means the feathers are ruffled, it is the least we can do. Soon we will have no soaps and no Soapsites, no Messageboards and no real form of Entertainment. There is no way we are going down, they killed too many soaps already.. it is time to stop the madness!

Very disappointed in Rachael Ray’s comments. How many people are losing their jobs not just actors, writers, the crew members, and the soap magazines employees? But its great news because her friend got the new show, wow how lame Rachael. Add my name to the list of people who will now boycott her show as well as her good friend show The Chew.

Won’t be watching ANY of her shows on ABC or The Food Network EVER again that’s for sure!!! Way to show how insensitive you are and that you have zero compassion or empathy for the hundreds and hundreds of people who are about to loose their jobs and the millions of fans who are loosing shows they’ve watched for decades!!!!! Rachael Ray is shown on ABC before The View in my area and I rarely if ever watch it. Rarely has now turned into NEVER!!!!!!!

Rachael Ray loves to name drop all the celebs she knows. She only cares about the big names. She was recently on Joy Behars show and talked about Celebs who are on her show that surprised her were not very cool in person. They seem all nice and perky but in person they suck… well guess what Rach, in person you suck too, unless of course your name is JLo, or Gweneth, or any other big star that you think you fit in with.. . I know I have actually seen you in person. I am tired of overweight, bloated chefs or in your case Cooks – telling me how to eat healthy. So you can bet I am excited that my soaps are canceled to watch a very bloated Mario Batalli telling me what is healthy for me to eat… One thing I do hope – that THE CHEW beats the RR show in every market and your rude ass goes back to cable where you belong. You self centered media Whore!! Soap Fan BOYCOTT THIS BITCH and Impeach FRONZ for ruining ABC DAYTIME!

Boycott Rachel Ray, Mario Batali, Tim Gunn, ABC, Disney, Disneyland, Disneyworld, send bars of soap to Brian Fron and Anne Sweeney. People are getting tired of reality shows and afternoon talk shows. With the economy the way it is now, people need something they can watch and escape to and AMC and OLTL are it.

It is very sad that Rachel Ray has decided to completely ignore the millions of fans of the soap operas. Let’s put aside the fact that many of us are fighting to keep our beloved soaps. Her remarks are callous and uncaring for those of us in mourning, not to mention the 600+ people who are loosing their jobs. She has lost a ton of viewers, and her ratings will reflect this. Well, I wish that they would reflect this but let’s face it the ratings system is really flawed. The fate of every show on the air rests with just a few thousand people, not the millions who really watch.

I guess Rachael Ray was not a soap fan.Only a true fan can feel so devastated to lose a soap of many years.These were not my soaps but ATWT was and i’m still in mourning for that show.I only hope if these shows do go off the writers and TPTB will have some respect for the loyal fans and give some sort of decent ending to them.After what was done to ATWT fans and the horrible ending we were given i would never want my fellow soap fans to go through the same.i hope some miracle happens and your soaps are saved.Good luck to all AMC and OLTL fans!

I’d like to fry her ass in EVOO…hope her show is the next to go. We already have the Food Network and the Cooking channel…let’s not have more food shows invade the other channels!!

I always found her to be insincere, phony anyway, and this just confirms it for me. Funny thing is her stylist/friend husband is one of the people/actors losing his job on AMC. I guess one friends gain is another ones lost. She is a loser and I am boycotting anything on ABC daytime after OLTL goes off the air. So does my tv channel & DVR machine.

Rachel Ray’s food tastes like poop. Her recipes are lackluster, and so is she. Ina Garten, despite the negative press she’s received lately, is a good chef/cook. Her comments about my BELOVED One Life to Live aside, she sucks… BADLY.

How can you be excited about so many people loosing their jobs? I thought you would remember how it was before you got all that you have now. There is a lot of people like me who love to watch their soaps during the week. I am not skinny myself, but I do not need a over weight person tell me how to eat healthy. When you can see that do not follow their own advice!

How many more cooking, makeover and talk shows do we really need in daytime TV? After seeing the latest lineup scheduled for the new season, I am finally ready to throw in the towel and get cable. Broadcast TV is a complete wasteland.
