The ratings are out for the week of February 9th through February 13th and your favorite daytime soaps apparently hit a bit of a rough patch during the all important February Sweeps period. In the total viewer count category, all four network daytime drama were down, with Y&R ever so slightly. The good news for Y&R was that it was up in the women 18-49 demo, and the only soap to gain viewers in the category.
However, when taking a glance at the latest ratings, it is NBC’s Days of our Lives which had a difficult week, which means their head writing change couldn’t have come a moment to soon, although one of the on-going issues with the long-running series is it shoots six-months ahead, so there is no time to get out of stories that aren’t catching on with the audience.
In total viewers, Days of our Lives came in at 2,298,000 losing another -213,000 in the audience. And, they have tied an all-time low in ratings share in key women demos 18-49 and 18-34. The show also lost the most viewers in the women 25-54 demo losing -88,000. You can view the entire ratings via SON here.
