Looks like folks were tuning in to the drama in Genoa City surrounding the series highly promoted 10,000th episode milestone, and perhaps checking out the new revamped images in the series opening credits!
For the ratings week of September 24th-28th, Y&R had Sharon about to marry Tucker, Victor’s “funeral”, Victor’s returns from the dead etc., and it scored well with viewers. The already number one sudser gained + 161,000 total viewers – the most for the week of the four network daytime dramas.
In addition, Y&R also added the most 18-49 female viewers in that key demo with +76.000, and had a net gain of +2 for the ratings share for the demo as well. It also had the most gains in male viewers for the week.
Now over at The Bold and the Beautiful and Days of our Lives, both shows gained viewers with B&B adding + 138,000 and also adding some +10,000 viewers in the key 18-49 female demo. And as for DAYS, they added +44,000 viewers for the week and added viewers in the 18-49 female demo as well with +55,000!
General Hospital was the only show to show a decline of viewers for the ratings period. GH lost -57,000 in the total viewers category and also lost -55,000 viewers in the key 18-49 female demo. However, the lone ABC still held third place firmly above DAYS with over 2.5 million plus viewers. Check out the entire picture ratings here via Soap Opera Network.
