It was CBS Daytime that showed its strength during the latest ratings period of February 8th-12th. In the lead and gaining the most viewers for the week was The Young and the Restless adding +142,000 more than any other daytime drama. That brought their total viewer number up over the 5 million mark once again. The show was also up in every female demo category: 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, where it performed extremely well adding +80,000 in total viewers for the category.
In story, it was the February 8th and 9th episodes that drew the most viewers, and that centered around Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) finally realizing the identity of Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) and heading to Fairview to confront her. Only when they got there, the evil doc had a knife to the back and was killed. As the audience learned Patty (Stacy Haiduk) Williams killed her psychiatrist, and is the only person alive that viewers know of that holds the secret that Sandy Allen AKA Dr. Anderson gave Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) baby to Sharon (Sharon Case)!
As for CBS The Bold and the Beautiful, they also had a strong week gaining +95,000 total viewers for the ratings period which added to their weekly average of 3,738,000. B&B continued to unspool the story of Quinn’s (Rena Sofer) machinations, as she literally has an amnesiac Liam (Scott Clifton) believing he is a man named Adam, and that they are a couple She apparently is sleeping with the guy, or getting quite cozy, even though she despises him so much! But this is all part of Quinn’s master plan to keep Liam occupied and away from Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Now Steffy believes Liam no longer wants her, or loves her, so Quinn is making sure her son Wyatt (Darin Brooks) has time to woo Steffy. It’s twisted Quinn logic at her best!
