Look who could be coming back to your television screens! Motion picture star, Ryan Phillippe has joined the cast of the CBS cop drama pilot previously known as Golden Boy, which is in development for the fall of this year!

The new police project is from creators Nicholas Wootton (NYPD Blue and Chuck) and Greg Berlanti (Brothers and Sisters), and according to EW.com, “Tracks one cop’s meteoric rise from officer to detective to police commissioner.” The talented young actor whose resume includes the flicks: Flags of Our Fathers,  Crash, Gosford Park, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and recently MacGruber could make this cop drama a ratings winner!

But soap fans and especially One Life fans will never forget Ryan in his first major acting role as Billy Douglas, the gay teen in the important homophobia in Llanview story, and how it intersected with the AIDS Quilt Memorial Project as part of  Sloan and Reverend Andrew Carpenter’s story as well.
