What can be better then two of On-Air On-Soaps favorite things? Soap stars and dogs! Well this past week, General Hospital’s Brandon Barash (Johnny) with his dog, and his castmate Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) attended The Humane Society of the United States presentation of “Rescue Paws” a traveling exhibit for Puppy Mills Campaign. The event was held at the W Hotel in Westwood, California.

Also in attendance with her dog, Presley was All My Children’s, Chrishell Stause (Amanda) and former, Days of our Lives star, Kristen Renton (Ex-Morgan).

On-Air On-Soaps definitely votes Brandon Barash and man’s best friend as our Soap Pic of the Week!

I’m thrilled Brandon recently adopted but that is too bad they attended this event. HSUS has become a poor representation of animal welfare in the USA. The HSUS has ever closer ties with the extremist group PETA, and they are continuing along a path that not only restricts and decreases the rights of responsible owners, promotes BSL(breed specific legislation) but also increases high volume kill shelters.

As with many large organizations most of the money given are going the bureaucracy and not to the cause. Supporting local rescue groups and shelters through not only monetary donations but items such as food, beds, etc. is really the best way to help animals in need.

What bleh said is true. Not a single penny of Humane Society funds goes to shelters that help save the lives of abandoned animals and place them in new homes. Donate to local rescue organizations instead.
