4 October 8th, 2013 Sri Rao To Write and Co-EP New Comedy From Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos!

Talk about your “All in the Soap Family”!  Deadline.com revealed today that ABC has put in development a multi-cam comedy from none other than former All My Children stars and real life lovebirds, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos from their Milojo Productions company!

The untitled project will be written by none other than former General Hospital: Night Shift head writer Sri Rao, and it centers on a free-spirited single mom who’s raising two kids in Brooklyn and running a small design company with three of her best friends. Things take a turn when her conservative 16-year-old son starts interning at her company, intent on transforming the family business into a global empire.

Ripa, Consuelos and Rao will executive produce for ABC Studios.This marks the second network sale for Rao this season. He also is penning The Black Widow for NBC.  Ripa currently hosting her popular syndicated talk show Live!, while Consuelos co-stars in the upcoming Amazon comedy series Alpha House.

    I think it will work well Kelly is always excellent in acting and comedy, she imitates brilliantly, they worked together on All My Children with tremendous chemistry, which is still there today after being married for I am not sure 17 or 18 years I will look forward to seeing their show.

    I think this will be a good show. I love Kelly and Mark together. I also like the writing of General Hospital: Night Shift. I just didn’t get enough of it. I also watch the Black Widdow. So this was be a good one for me, and I wish Kelly and Mark, and the rest of the people involved good luck and hope for success.
