The Chew is getting ready for it’s a launch on Monday, September 26th on the ABC Daytime line-up while All My Children (the show it is replacing) is preparing it’s final episode to air on Friday, September 23rd.   As ABC is gearing up for The Chew‘s arrival to the daytime, it has released some principal photography of its stars, plus some tune-in copy that says the following:

“ABC’s new, one-hour lifestyle series The Chew will debut live Monday September 26 at 1:00 p.m., ET. It’s a party in the kitchen each and every afternoon, as  The Chew celebrates and explores life through food. Bringing together a diverse panel of co-hosts that includes restaurateurs and “Iron Chef” stars Mario Batali and Michael Symon, entertaining expert Clinton Kelly, “Top Chef” alum Carla Hall and health & wellness enthusiast Daphne Oz, The Chew brings viewers smart and intelligent talk that engages the audience in a daily dose of food, life and fun with conversations about everything from cooking, holidays and home entertaining to food trends like food trucks and urban gardens.”

Are you kidding us?  “Everything from food trends like food trucks and urban gardens”? That is what ABC wants daytime fans to tune-in for instead of the legendary folks in Pine Valley?  Enough said!

I personally don’t need to get so in depth with food. How interesting/ironic that they have a food show and then a weight loss program as their replacements.

No interest what so ever in watching this show. I didn’t like Batali when he had a show on the Food Network and I have no desire to to watch him on this show either. This show is going to bomb and I will be celebrating when it does. They should have never cancelled All My Children. They should have given Lorraine Broderick a chance to to turn the show around. Once AMC goes off the air ABC will no longer be the channel I watch for my soaps I will be watching NBC Days Of Our Lives and CBS Young and the Restless.

More trailer trash reality/talk show garbage for daytime television…I will be switching channels and watching “Days of Our Lives” on September 26, 2011 as that is when Deidre Hall returns as Marlena…ABC sucks big time!

I won’t be watching this or ABC (except for OLTL). The Chew–what a pathetic name–can choke, crash, and burn. Two million people are hoping this show fails and that Brian Frons is fried and fired. I doubt any television show has debuted under such storm clouds of ill will, except perhaps, the one that will replace OLTL.
