Looks like The Bold and the Beautiful’s Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) will be trying to get some help with her battle with the bottle, when she attends a 12-step program.

When “Drunk Brooke” tries to get her life and drinking on track, she will run into none other than The Love Boat’s Jill Whelan, who will guest star on the CBS Daytime drama series as the group counselor in the program, according to CBS Soaps In Depth.

Whelan is forever known as Vicki Stubing, the captain’s daughter, on the hit ABC comedy series that aired from 1977-1987.  Of course, the captain was played by Gavin MacLeod.  Look for Whelan to hit the airwaves around March 10th.

What do you think of the casting of Jill Whelan?  How well do you think Brooke will do in a 12-step program? Comment below!

I’m just glad that Brooke is getting help. I know #DrunkBrooke is a fictional character…but I felt uncomfortable about laughing at a character who was loosing control of herself.
    I never laughed at #DrunkNikki..

  2. Iakovos says:

Brooke is already seeking help? The character only just returned. You tell me it takes years — years!!! — for Hope, Liam, and Steffy… then add Wyatt… to work itself out. (Sort of.) And we are already saving Brooke. No. I may be only a viewer, but I think some story development, suspense, close calls, and mistakes and considerable soul searching need to be part of the journey to Brooke’s redemption, if that is the endgame here. I sense Brooke will never change. If the character did not take a new direction after a genuinely beautiful story for Brooke with Stephanie in her final days, then I am not sure what may happen.

    Chrystie Delancey replied

    I agree, Iakovos.

And I never understand the pacing of B&B. The last time I was confused about pacing of the show was Wyatt and Hope’s honeymoon and her getting pregnant. If we were to look at it like real time (like 24, for example) then there would be no way that story would have worked.

I feel the same way with this latest story for Brooke. If she is seeking help, then are we to believe she has had a drinking problem for months instead of a few days?

    Sounds good. Can’t wait.

  4. Torqumada says:

They should get cokey cruise director instead. (Btw, I hear she’s been sober for years now and is pretty honest about her journey. So good on her.)

  5. wolfy says:

She was on Y&R before, in 1997 … She played Karby Stalter. I have no idea who she was, who she was connected to or anything. Guess she was a guest-star day player. :)

Didn’t think Brooke was so far gone with her drinking that she needed therapy already. Kind of surprised that the lady who played Julie (who was a cocaine addict & talks about it openly now that she sober again) wasn’t hired to be the therapist instead. Addiction of any kind is bad. Heck, Brooke should be in for sex addiction, not alcoholism!

wolfy…y-e-s…Brooke should MOST DEFINITELY seek treatment/help for sex addiction!!!!! To me, that would make W-A-Y MORE SENSE than her seeking treatment for alcoholism!!!!! Yep.

    Take care, wolfy. Peace.

  6. Melody Doepel says:

Brooke can do anything and do it well. She has proved that already.

  7. jaybird369 says:

Oh, r-e-a-l-l-y…B&B’S Brooke in a 12-step program because of her alleged drinking problem????? Oh, gimme a break already!!!!! More and more, my poor eyeballs are already SORE ENOUGH watching Brooke acting like such a whiny, needy and annoying BIMBO!!!!! THE L-A-S-T THING that I wanna watch is ‘Brooke The Lush’!!!!!! No Thank You. Don’t Care. Next…
