95 July 2nd, 2012 THIS WEEK ON GH: John Kisses Sam, Jason Kisses Elizabeth & Michael Kisses Starr! – Watch the Video!

Nothing like some Fourth of July fireworks to ignite the passion, romance or spur-of-the-moment lip-lock! And where else but in Port Charles does it seem to be running rampant this week! In the new ABC promo, John (Michael Easton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) have their long awaited moment when they kiss, as OLTL fans scream, “What about Natalie?” Then is it a knee-jerk reaction or is Jason(Steve Burton) and Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) kiss the real deal?

And then, Michael (Chad Duell) and Starr (Kristen Alderson)finally give in to the pull that has been between them, plus Heather (Robin Mattson)c ontinues to taunt Luke (Anthony Geary), her former flame. What will happen there?

So soapers, watch all the lip-smacking action in the GH video promo after the jump, and then weigh in! Are you happy John kissed Sam? Does it remind you of Caleb and Livvie on Port Charles? What do you think of Jason and Elizabeth kissing? And Starr trying to move forward with her life post-Cole and Hope? Is it appropriate at this point in her life? And what about Luke and Heather? I am ok with Michael and Starr kissing. They will make a good couple. Jason and Liz is questionable. As far as John and Sam are concerned, the writers have already changed McBain from who he was on OLTL. I think he just has the name but he isn’t who he was on the show. I do not want John and Natalie to split but the writers obviously do because they won’t put her on the show. I will be terribly disappointed if they put Sam and John together because Port Charles was years ago and I don’t see how it can be brought back in a good way.

I agree with you Vanessa on the Michael and Starr kissing and Jason and Liz. I can’t believe that they are doing that with John and Sam, sure I liked them on Port Charles and they had good chemistry back then but I don’t see it anymore. Maybe if he was playing a different character it would work but all I can think about when they are together is John and Natalie and the great chemistry they have together. If they tend to keep John on GH then they need to resolve the Natalie and Liam issue. I’m sorry but I just can not see John jumping into another relationship with someone when Natalie and Liam are still in the picture.

The old John on OLTL wouldn’t even think of kissing someone else. I agree that if they are going to start the romance thing with John and Sam, they need to first take care of the Natalie/Liam story so that it will be more acceptable and realistic. Otherwise, I know they haven’t changed Todds character and Starr is getting back to who she was so why does Johns character have to be changed. I also agree that if John was playing another character that wasn’t so familiar to viewers for so long it might be better. I don’t see what they have because all Sam does is complain to him about Jason and feel sorry for herself. It makes no since to me.

I agree.. I don’t want Sam & john to get together either….Everything else I am fine with…Oh I don’t know about Luke & Heather…I thought he couldn’t stand the sight of her………………..John & Sam aren’t a good idea..Is John going to forget about his son & Natalie…He told her he loved her on his cell phone when on the airplane …

It’s like Ron is giving the big middle finger to all of the OLTL fans that he so desperately wanted to tune in and watch GH. This is exactly why I quit watching GH, because I could see the writing on the wall with what they were doing with John & Sam, and it did not make me happy. We literally waited over a year for John and Natalie to “talk” and tell each other how they feel…now within a matter of months, John is kissing and hooking up with Sam?! It makes me sick!!!! You wanna know the best way to lose viewers that you just gained, and to ensure that your show is in trouble?…..keep writing the way you are, and you’ll see.

If you were going to bring cast members from OLTL on GH, you should have made them brand new characters, because this integration isn’t working. Ron is just ruining the characters that we grew to love to appease his new agenda that he has for GH. John would never kiss another woman!! Or abandon his family!! This storyline is complete total crap!!!

Torrey you are dead wrong. The integration of OLTL characters is giving GH the much needed life it needed because of the three ABC soaps, GH had the worst ratings but its contract expired after the previous two. Had its season finished in 2011, GH not AMC would have been cancelled first. So quit your gripping about the infusion, its working, hence the increase in ratings and I hope they do more because Frank is doing an excellent…except for the John & Sam part!

Vanessa you are spot on with your assessment. Unfortunately Melissa Archer is filming a movie now so she can not commit to GH but hopefully when that is done the insanity that is John and Sam will be over!

I think that even if Melissa wasn’t filming a movie they wouldn’t make it work. I think Michael Easton has great chemistry with a lot of characters and John and Sam could have a special relationship without taking apart Johns character that we spent the last 9 years loving and supporting. character a little bit at a time. I truly want to support GH as much as possible but I don’t want to see the

So, I take it that you’re a OLTL fan, since you’re happy with what’s happened with this integration? I was ok with it, until they brought Cole & Hope on, only to kill them off….Then they brought Tea on, only to kill her child with Victor…..then bringing John on, only to hook up with Sam. There’s no way in the world, John would ever act like this!!! I know I’m not the only one the recognizes the major flaw in this story. After all, when John first came on, he was suggesting to Sam that she be honest with Jason about the paternity, because he had dealt with the very same issue with Natalie. Now, after knowing her for a matter of moments, he makes out with her?! Really? I was fine with the integration, until all the OLTL characters started dropping like flies. I don’t see how anyone who is a fan of OLTL can be happy with what’s gone down. My main point was they should have just been brought on new characters, rather than having John cheat on Natalie and leave his son in the wind….but if the death of Cole, Hope & Tea’s baby makes you tune in, so be it.

An absolute travesty to have John kissing Sam after everything he went through to be with Natalie and his son. I am so turned off by it I can’t even watch. I know that soaps are supposed to be a suspension of belief but the story has to make some sense to appeal to me. This does not. John doing this with Sam is so far out there I just can’t follow it.

Heather and Luke are a riot. Heather purring “meow” couldn’t be funnier. The other couples look boring in comparison. Can’t believe Starr is ready to more on after Cole and Hope’s deaths. Can’t believe John has forgotten about Natalie. CAN believe brain-damaged Jason forgetting about Sam and going back to Elizabeth.

I couldn’t stomach, Starr… telling, the judge… that Kate/Connie, is ILL…. and the judge… letting her off… if she seeks help, for her DID. I would want to be dead… lose my mind… if I lost my fiance and child. period. i will praise, “kate’s” acting… her love for Sonny is real to me. She, like Jenn Lilly… needs to lay off all the make-up… the severe eye liner.. and too bright red lipstick… she’s not queen liz taylor… cleopatra… she looks so much better sans all that make-up… more natural.

the princess mob story… is done… for me. we all know it’s summer, lure, younger viewers plot time. this story is not working. if, it turns out.. that he could be kate’s son… she better right him, quickly. it’s too kiddy… for me… is he with, starr or kristina… who cares? Michael, and Starr? i don’t know about that either… it’s too soon. I don’t believe, that one, can get over such tragic, shock to the mind, body, and soul… that easily. it’s also, dumbing, down.. for Starr.. to be singing… at Johnny and Lulu’s new “casino”.

I hope, Johnny… isn’t the one responsible… for shooting out the tires of Starr’s fiance,and child… if, in fact… kate/connie… “did” it. could it be, that the writers, are going to find Dr. Keener responsible… perhaps.. he hypnotized… steered kate/connie, she has lapse in remembering… that he’s some how blocking her memory… and letting her be responsible… ok.. help me out here.. I just don’t want it to be johnny… these visons… flashes of guilt, angst, remorse, however, one want’s to believe… Johnny has to be redeemed.

as, for, John McBain… i didn’t watch OLTL… i did watch the last few months however… and found it funny… that McBain… was always the only one at the OLTL police station… and I never saw any real true intimacy with Natalie… so.. it’s like he had a hard time expressing feelings… IMO.. he’s more “alive” in port charles… and somewhat… with Sam.

wouldn’t it be nice.. to have real commupance… for sonny… and the mob? McBain… Johnny… etc….

Sam and Jason… it wasn’t right.. how Jason, treated Sam… especially, after the rape… and not accepting… her baby… regardless of the outcome… his silent, tough guy… with all that’s happened to Sam… is hard to swallow… intolerable…. especially, with his moving on.. not fighting for Sam.. kissing elizabeth… it’s nice that Sam, has found her voice… at least… this is happening… let’s get tough… ala charlies angels.. ok.. dumb imitation… but sleuth… Sam! fight for your convictions.. your instinct… your maternal being. That baby, was real.

GH… it’s as, if the baby switch, and her baby dying… never happened… they, did this with elizabeths… Jake… as well…

I hope GH, isn’t writing, heather, in to a corner… with the kidnap of luke. Heather, is a beacon of old serial… and this is respectful. she’s a charming… eduring… question? is she that batty?

finally, I give props, to Jen Lilly… she had so much to do, as the new Maxie… Kirsten Storms missed so much….. Jenn lilly acted her best. Spinelli breaking up with maxie… was good… excellent stuff…. he was done doorMATTing… waiting… patience.. run amok… playing havok with spinelli… so, this should be good stuff for kirsten Storms to act out.. when, she’s back… this ending… made me like and appreciate Spinelli.

Patrick…. and his prescription “plan”.. is what has me watching… the fallout.. crashing… over, his love life, and marriage… his job… is true to life.

Well the Starr/Michael kiss is ok but Sam-John no way in h-ll! I’m not even going to bless that with watching….In all the time on OLTL John never cheated on Natalie and all that time he spent wanting her back then gettting her back only to cheat and kiss somebody else yeah that makes since! Not…I don’t think TPTB have a clue what a mess up this is and how ticked off all these fan bases are except for John/Sam-ex caleb Livie fans!! the ones I’ve posted with that John/Nat on OLTL were their favs and Sam/Jason on GH were their favs..Makes them feel like they lost two soaps….This is not John Mcbain as we knew him he would never ever kiss somebody else when with Natalie. I am done with as this crap…they have killed Tea’s baby. Starr and cole…..made a Joke out of John/Natalies HEA…I’ve been on the boards since this broke the only ones happy are the John/Sam ex caleb livvie fans all the others are angry and are wanting to tune out….This pairing will kill GH…everytime they have been on, that day the ratings have sunk I have been keeping track….TpTB better wake up soon…I’m only watching GH now when there is no Sam/John scenes. I’d like to keep some good memories of OLTL and John/Natlie….How can you break up two long 9yrs couples for one…(poor Natalie and Liam) discusting.

I hear what you are saying, watched both GH & OLTL I’m a natalie & john fan & a jasam fan so imagine how I feel seeing this!!! u are right only the john/sam & caleb/livie fans are pleased, a lot of GH fans have tuned out as well! I know not all fan bases will be pleased at any given time but are you trying to please a fan base from a totally different soap… way to go TPTB! great job at increasing viewership & ratings

I did not watch PC but McBain/Sam have chemistry and get and Jason had gotten boring. Great shaking things up and letting Monaco act for a change. Elizabeth & Jason have so much history and they were barely in any scenes before it was not realistic. They have chemistry also. Love the lightening up of McBain’s character. He was always sexy & brooding add funny! Not really liking Heather kidnapping Luke but like the Anna/Tracy triangle. Starr & Michael I didn’t like at first but warming up now. Show is so much better (don’t want to hear from the couple haters) as long as there are good story lines I’m in. Do wish the Mob Princess storyline would go away it’s bad!

I’m ok w/ Starrcheal, but Jason + Liz again? I don’t see the sparks between them! Liz could have a gorgeous doctor, but she’s kissing a married man. Stop giving Liz guys she can’t have! Set her w/a better fit w/ passionate romance. John and Sam-it’s too soon. Build up that spark into a roaring fire before putting them together. Heather and Luke are freaking awesome in scenes together. They both so great! Luke should just bed-hop. Find a love interest for Alexis; she should have more scenes. Bring in a new Rick for her, so they can deal w/Molly.

I would like Heather to drug Luke to see the look on Luke’s face when he wakes up in bed with her. Liz is long overdue to be with somebody worthy, like Dr. Keenan. And Alexis is past due for romance too.

I agree with all of this! I love the Heather-Luke dynamic enough to want to see that scene. Apart from proclaiming my Elizabeth and Ewen love, Alexis is next on my agenda. I would love to see her in a passionate affair with someone. It’s time!

I wouldn’t really refer to Luke as Heather’s “former flame” since they were never actually together in the first place. Their whole storyline is based on a ill-written rewrite by Guza.

I love Michael Easton and was so happy he was coming to GH… BUT this is what I feared that the faithful OLTLers that loved Jolie would be again kicked in the stomach…no wedding….no online happiness however brief…and now John will kiss Sam who is someone he has known all of 5 minutes. I would have rathered they killed off Natty and Liam them to have John cheat on the mother of his child. Or he could have been someone else, because the John from OLTL would nm’t do that to his family. He and Sam are cheaters in my book and unfortunately I don’t care about them anymore. Still love the actors don’t like the way the loyal Jolie fans have been cheated on once again. This is too bad because I was thrilled with what has happened with GH since Ron and Frank came over….thanks for letting me vent.

Yes, OLTL fans are screwed again with Jam (JohnSam). Please, no more OLTL deaths after Cole, Hope, and Tea’s baby just to rationalize Jam. I would rather have Melissa Archer on GH and have Roger Howarth leave than put up with Jam.

Seriously, You want to make a bet on whether or not John cheats on Natalie? I don’t know I am hoping that John will behave himself and not cheat on her, the John Mcbain from Landview would never do it, I say he doesn’t, he’s always on the phone telling Nat he loves her so I say no he won’t cheat on her until the Natalie problem is solved, And I do hope he ends up with Natalie and the baby that’s where he belongs.

Well this is just freaking awesome! FINALLY a soap that is bringing back true romance (aside from Heather, but she’s hysterical lol)! I have been LONGING for John and Sam to get together ever since they first interacted. There is such a connection there, not to mention Easton and Monaco’s immense chemistry. As a former OLTL watcher, I would like to see McBain break up with Natalie before McBam moves any further, but this “in this moment” kiss is perfect for right now. I also love how Sam actually has a man in her life that looks after HER needs instead of his own (take some notes, Jason!). I hope we continue to see this feisty, independent Sam (the ORIGINAL, pre-Jason, Sam) as they progress with her storyline with John. As for Jason and Elizabeth, I’ve never been a fan of either character, but there is no denying Steve and Becky’s chemistry and I think it would be great if the pair had a chance at a real relationship. Michael and Starr, thankfully they’ve moved slowly with their storyline and romance; I think their cautionary steps towards eachother is great!

Yes, siblings is a much more interesting storyline. I’m disapointed they went with romance here. I don’t feel passion in the McBain/Sam connection but do feel some tether there.

Elizabeth & Jason have always had chemistry however she will get hurt again when the truth comes out about the baby. I was never a Sam&Jason fan I could not understand his forgiveness of her actions concerning Jake and did she ever even care baby Jake died so I really could care less about her and her baby. Everybody be honest McBain as Tea called him on it always cared about damsels in distress they do not intend to bring Natalie over never did. Luke & Heather too funny!!

Fine with Michael and Starr – cute couple (two young people grieving over losses, finding eachother – fine), I was never a real big fan of Jason and Elizabeth as a couple, although Jake was the cutest child), but considering the storyline, I see why the kiss worked in this case. I loved John and Natalie on OLTL and love JaSam on GH, but I also believe that Ron C and Frank V know darn well that having John and Sam kiss would stir up lots of fan emotions, most not so positive, so I am sure there is a reason for this, and a kiss (while wrong when married to others for sure), does not mean these couples will pair up, it can, in the long run, help get them back to those they belong with. As for Luke and Heather, love the humor and enjoy Luke and Heather, but I can only take her in small doses. As long as there are good storylines, I am loving the show, and I have faith that Frank and Ron know what they are doing. Soooo happy to see GH’s latest ratings up, let’s keep them going in that upward direction. Keep watching!!!!!

If Melissa Archer is not coming to GH, shall we take bets on how long before John cheats on Natalie? RC disposed of Cole, Hope, and Tea’s baby quickly to sever OLTL storylines. John could be in bed with Sam next week, except I think RC will drag it out past September to increase ratings.

I hope John will behave and not cheat on Natalie too, but GH fans aren’t unanimous, and the reality of storylines may be driven more by ratings than fidelity. John did jump into bed with Kelly after a few drinks when he thought Liam wasn’t his son. I don’t know. I hope you are right.

John has gone back to Llanview to see Natalie and Liam 2x since he was in Port Charles and made numerous phone calls to say he loves them. If he got drunk and kissed Sam or had a drunken fling ( as has happened before to John) doesn’t mean he doesn’t love Natalie and Liam, it means he was drunk and screwed up as soap couples do and will need to find a way to fix it. Look how Jason messed things up with Sam and now wants her back, but is kissing Liz !!

the brooding, silent type, heck “machismo” mob guy. but, i think, most fans see that underlying sensitive guy. however, with such a big story… .with Jason and Sam… and it was like…. neither one of them really spoke… cause of the rape, and Franco being Jason’s twin. geez, it was like Sam was holding on to? for dear life. and now? and yet, i still ached for these two. and, now, it seems like it’s “doomed”… where is the pay out? Sam is finding her voice… and way again. however, she’d better start MATERNAL’izing… That Baby was real… they can’t just let it go by the wayside…. course, i say this, cause, i immediately, liked Tea. I realize Sam’s investigating… at the SUN… Todd’s newspaper, with Heather working their.

On another note – I know this is off topic (and I apologize for that), but I wanted to get others prospectives on this.

Who does everyone think is really Kate’s son? I know Trey is the obvious choice for sure, but sometimes in “soap” land, the obvious is just put out there to throw the fans off for a bit, and if that is the case, I am so hoping that her son turns out to be Spinelli. I think that would be a nice twist. Thoughts???

I do not want Joe Jr to be Spinelli’s father; Spinelli is so lacking in connection in PC and needs family. To be the product of a rape could change him…ah, but what a lesson for his best friend Jason. I dislike the entire ‘Mob Princess’ storyline and am struggling with the new Kristina. Trey doesn’t help at all so I don’t mind if he is Joe Jrs son as much. He feels disposable to me. The Mob Princess story is the only part of GH right now that sets me on edge although I see how it ties into Joe Jr. Otherwise GH is fabulous.

I was thinking the same thing! I think Trey’s dad could still be “the baf guy” (sorry, I forget his name) but it doesn’t mean Connie/Kate is his mom. I’d love it if it were Spinelli.

I have been watching soaps for 35 years. Not since Luke and Laura has there been a couple as fantastic as john and natalie. OLTL survived the last 9 years based on their amazing love story. I stopped watching GH when the Mob Took over Port Charles. GH needs to go back to its roots, dump Sonny, return Jason as a Quartermaine and bring on the Buchanans. There is no chemistry between John and Sam. Sam should be his long lost adopted sister. Natalie (Melissa Archer) is John’s soul mate, Just look at the eight years of clips on utube. John Mcbain would never leave Natalie and Liam after what they have been through. GH is destroying the integrity of John McBain if he cheats on Natalie and leaves her. It was sickening wjhen John was with Marty. Jolie fans are not watching GH because it’s just too painful. John and Natalie and Liam deserve a wedding and some happiness. I stayed loyal to OLTL because like Bo Buchanan, John McBain is loyal to his woman and through it all, Natalie (Melissa Archer) is the love of his life.

Many GH fans like me never watched OLTL and have no idea who Natalie is, don’t know the history of John and Natalie, and don’t care since she’s not on GH. If he’s going to stay on GH, he has to be involved with someone who is actually on the show, and Sam is the perfect person. It’s not very interesting to watch a character make one sided phone calls to someone many of the viewers have never even seen. I can understand OLTL fans wanting to keep a favorite couple together, but if they are not bringing Natalie onto GH, there is no future for them. John will not be very successful on GH if he has to stay in a relationship that takes place off screen.

I LOVE John/Sam pairing! I watched OLTL also, but this is not OLTL!! Natalie is not coming on the show so people need to get over this! Sam & Jason have always been boring, IMO, I’d love to see Jason back with Elizabeth (Ewen doesn’t do anything for me)! Michael and Starr are fine, this is Luke’s big summer sendoff so I’m not worried he’ll be paired with Heather for anything longterm.

Starr and Michael seem to be the only couple that I find to be interesting. I am not sure yet about John and sam those two, years ago on Port Charles looked beautiful together in other words they were hot, I like Natalie with john and I know hes not the kind of guy who would cheat on the woman he is with and he would never leave town without nat and liam, So that leaves the question, What the hell are they going to do about John? Until they play out his feelings for Nat there can be no Sam and John. But if I was Sam it would be a very long time before I would forget about what Jason did to her, she was raped and he put his feelings above hers about the baby being francos and he ask her to put the baby up for adoption and he also had Johns ass kicked and that caused her to walk into the woods looking for help and because of that her baby died, ( switched by Heather). I use to like Jason and Liz, not anymore, Years ago when they broke them up it bothered me but after a while I got over it and I never cared if they would get back together again. We never had these problems on One life to live, that beautiful soap had so much Love, heart, And family, general hospital is good again but it’s getting to be confusing and I don’t like that the Mob isn’t gone, Can’t believe Jason came in and shot those two goons then leaves.Lets see what happens today and I hope we get to hear another 12 seconds of the opening. and I would like for them to slow it down so I can see all the faces. And I thought that Port Charles Is a small town on Lake Erie? Not a big place Like New York City. Are we picky or what?

I love John and Natalie together, but John got drunk and slept with Kelly when he thought Liam was Brody’s son. So if he got drunk over his sisters death and had a fling with Sam, wouldn’t be far fetched, The chemistry between Michael Easton and Kelly Monico is hot ( as Caleb and Livvie they were awesome ). But would Mr. honesty confess to Natalie? Or would he restle with the ” one night ” in his mind and what it would do to Natalie whom he finally admitted he loves. Could be interesting to see that play out.

Jason and Liz i think will always care/love each other, especially whenever one or both of them are seeming unattached to another. So if they kiss, it’s not a far stretch of the imagination for me.

John and Sam – not into that. but that preview could be a dream… never know!

and Heather & Luke, that has to be another one of her dreams… which are usually humorous. But an actual pairing? no. that’s not going to happen — unless she bonked him so hard over the head he doesn’t remember anything… then he’s putty in her crazy hands!

OK- Jolie fans, TRUST ME, I feel your pain. My favorite soap pairing ever was Victor and Tea, so when they killed their child, not to mention with Tea acting so out of character with her new admiration of her husband’s “killer”- I was PISSED as hell. I wish they would have broughten Melissa Archer on, to at least finish their past if they intended on moving on with McBam.

With that being said, Melissa is NOT coming to GH and Michael signed for three years, he is obviously going to have a love interest, maybe several! Don’t protest against the last remaining ABC soap, nor Michael Easton’s performances simply because you’re holding onto your love for his persona in Llanview. I’m not saying you have to support McBam or any potential interest of John’s on GH, but please don’t tune out. That won’t get you what you want.

Sonny, he makes Mc Bain boring as I watch on youtube.
All truth I just cant stand the oither stories I mean so many stories I diont really care for. But not bring Natalie over you ruined a love story yet asgain.

Their first Mistake was not bringing ME over as a different character, their second mistake was to write him this way, he’s on the phone telling Natalie he loves her and wishes he’s with her and Liam and 24hrs later (soap time) he’s kissing somebody his known all of 5min? I realize if ME is staying on Gh they have to do something but this? To me that is a slap in the face to fans that have followed him the last 9yrs…..The should have brought Natalie over had something happen John think she is dead then move him forward with whoever but at the end of GH (which I believe will be next year) bring her back and let the fans have their HEA back. She could be alive somewhere and we see occational glimses of her….that would have been better then him cheating right after telling her he loves her that doesnt even make sence and destroys his character.

Liking Starr and Michael, not fond of McBam, Calivia was one of a kind (the Vampire theme had alot to do w/that) it would be great to see him w/ Nat.. loving how challenging Heather is, and the more open and smiley todd and John. I think the remix is being handled pretty good. Jason just saved Johns life, so I kinda think it is an unjust move on johns part. I am a Michael Easton fan , though. Hard to find fault…I see alot of potential w/the new mob family in play(Scully) and the pace of the show is awesome. I would love to see them inc. someone from pine Valley, like Aiden Devane or Dr Hayward (even as other people) .I could go on …

Nooo!!!!!! I was totally falling in love with Elizabeth and Ewen! I loved their hospital kiss, and how self-reflective and aware she is with him. And she SMILES around him! How long has it been since a man made her smile?!? *sigh*
Michael and Starr and endearing. Á Jason-Sam-John triangle could be interesting, but I feel for OLTL fans that liked his pairing. The Sam-John thing feels rushed and somewhat contrived given his relationship status.

I like John and Sam. Sam has been tolerable for me lately. I hated who she became with Jason. But I think the kiss was just a reactive. John was feeling the booze and feeling his sister’s death was his fault, Sam is still greiving. I’ve always like Liz and Jason but I don’t want her with him. I’ve never care for Jason and Sam but I hate how he’s been treating her during her pregnancy. He needs on a remote island, alone!!!!!! I love Michael & Starr and I hope it goes forward.
