The final minutes of last night’s season three ending Dallas, provided much story for the future if the TNT soap opera can be picked up for its fourth season, which we have yet to learn.
But if last night’s season three finale is any indication of where the show can go in season four, it’s going to be a barnburner! Yee-haw!
Let’s review some of the highlights: Elena (Jordana Brewster) finally went trigger happy and got wise to the machinations of Nicolas (Juan Pablo Di Pace) who has seemingly survived all and is becoming the head of the cartel. Finally putting two and two together that he killed her brother Drew (Kuno Becker), she fired bullets at him! Nicolas got away in his bloody white shirt.
Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe) stumbled upon the scene and got his fingerprints on the gun! Later as Nicolas points out, in his private jet after the hit and murder on the other jailed Cartel members, Elena will be attached to him in 9 months, knowing that he messed with her diaphragm and got her preggars!
In a key scene at the end of the season finale, Elena is throwing up and took a pregnancy test revealing she is pregnant! But who is the daddy? Remember, it wasn’t just Nicolas she slept with! Christopher is awaiting outside in his car for her, and as she comes out of the bathroom to join Christopher a bomb goes off and Christopher is engulfed in flames and has been killed! Elena screams!
And our favorite duo of the night, Judith Light (Judith Ryland) and Josh Henderson (John Ross) are key to the finale! After Judith gave John Ross the dress and incriminating sexacapade photos she’d was going to blackmail him with, in exchange for info on Ryland’s CIA work, John Ross found Pamela (Julie Gonzalo) in bed with Nassir. More double-crossing ensues!
Later, after Bobby (Patrick Duffy) and Sue Ellen (Linda Gray) take back Ewing Global after a takeover attempt from both Pamela and John Ross, a devastated John Ross heads to the elevator where he cries and feels like he disappointed his daddy, J.R.! But the crafty John Ross has an inspired idea! So, he conspires with Judith and plans to screw with Bobby and Sue Ellen and get control of Ewing Global, and he has made Judith the new railroad commissioner, which means drugs are going to be coming right on through!
Emma (Emma Bell) who has been trying to recover from her ordeal of her kidnapping by the Cartel is visited by John Ross. He wants to be her friend, something Judith asked of him as well. Emma reveals has something for John Ross that she has been keeping that she now wants him to have (Even though his heroics in saving her life where not all pure and he did not just come to Mexico to only find her). But even so, she gives him a file that J.R had. John Ross is shocked by what’s inside. And as we learn as the season comes to a close, J.R has a daughter somewhere, and now only John Ross knows! Who could it be?
In a statement released to EW.com, Jesse Metcalfe shared this on his departure from the series: “In classic Dallas fashion the producers and writers needed a season ending shocker. After three great years, I was ready to move on and pursue other projects. It culminated in the perfect opportunity to surprise fans and deliver that shocking twist. I enjoyed my time on Dallas and am grateful for the opportunity to work with Warner Bros and TNT, and I wish the cast and crew all the very best!”
