6 May 13th, 2012 TONIGHT: Desperate Housewives Finale – We Goodbye to the Women of Wisteria Lane!

After eight seasons, Desperate Housewives takes its final bow on a two-hour two-part finale airing from 9-11PMEST on ABC! After so much dramedy, we will say our goodbyes to the women of Wisteria Lane, Terri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Vanessa Williams, Brenda Strong and Kathryn Joosten.

But what will go down?  Here’s what we know:  All good things eventually come to an end, and in the two-hour finale, “Give Me the Blame” / “Finishing the Hat,”  Trip (Scott Bakula) begs Bree to tell him what really happened the night of Alejandro’s murder as her trial begins to go south and it looks like she’s about to be convicted; Gaby tries to come up with a solution that will take the burden off of Bree; Susan tries to keep the sale of her house private until she’s had a chance to break the news to the ladies; Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany) returns to Wisteria Lane and offers Lynette an intriguing job opportunity – which could end her chances of reconciling with Tom; the women all agree to take care of Mrs. McCluskey when they discover that she wants to die with dignity at home; Susan finds herself at wits end when Julie goes into labor at the most inopportune time; and Renee is shocked to discover that, as their wedding nears, Ben has been arrested and thrown in jail.

Will you be watching tonight’s finale of Desperate Housewives?  If so,  what character will you miss the most when DH signs off after eight seasons?   Let us know! And, after the jump, watch two preview clips from tonight’s last hurrah!

I watched almost every episode of DH. It was the one “soap” my husband would watch with me and we loved it. That said, when ABC cancelled AMC & OLTL I now boycott all ABC/D. We will watch the finale and we will miss it. GH is now the one and only ABC/D show this household ever watches.

It’s nice to see them all agreeing to take care of Mrs. McCluskey so she can die at home. So many older people need help around the house with much more trivial issues and have no one to turn to for assistance. Neighbors and friends can make such a difference in the lives of people who do not have family, but most do not care enough to learn how they could help. If nothing else, this example shows DH wasn’t the complete waste of time I imagined it to be.

I totally agree..way too many elderly spending their last moments in a cold bare room in a home where no one cares. Love this idea of them getting together and caring for her. She was a wonderful character actress and I hope her real life cancer never returns. GOD BLESS HER.

I will miss DH alot. When it 1st aired my son was born and I decided to check out this new series. I loved it alot, got hooked instantly. I even got my hubby to watch it too. We watched every episode tog. I loved the writing, the mixture of drama and humor, how it was soapy but relatable too. I too liked how they took care of Ms. McClosky. I wasn’t surprised when they showed her dying and the birth of Julie’s daughter’s birth. The cycle of life and death. I’m glad Tom and Lynette reunited too, had a feeling they would. They were 1 of my fav couples.
