On-Air On-Soaps was visiting CBS today where we learned the news that Let’s Make A Deal host, Wayne Brady has been officially named the host of this year’s Daytime Emmy Telecast on June 19th to air on the CBS Television Network. Brady, who also recently displayed his song and dance man prowess on Dancing with the Stars, will help keep the proceedings moving along, as NATAS and the industry recognize some of daytime’s best in the past year.

The Daytime Emmys will again emanate from Las Vegas for a two-hour live show broadcast at 8PMEST and tape delayed on the west coast.  The nominations will be announced tomorrow morning, and there is no television coverage on the CBS Early Show this year announcing the top categories.  However, we have been informed that Alex Trebek who is this year’s receipient, along with Pat Sajak for the Lifetime Achievement Award will be appearing on tomorrow’s episode of The Talk.

Make sure to stay with On-Air On-Soaps all morning long and throughout the day Wednesday, as we bring you the nominations and coverage of the 38th Annual Daytime Award kick-off!

So what do you think of the choice of Wayne Brady for the hosting chores?

It is going to be interesting tomorrow…General talk is Bold and Days summited the best episode for Series with OLTL screwing up by selected the first day of the musical…Also Debra Morgan did not select the Stand Alone episode which can open the door wide open for lead actress. Gina is a real dark horse due to the episode she selected with Kevin wronghead but sweet propsel of marriage after Kelly’s mother funeral. It just something I think voters will feel good voting for.

Please, God, let them focus on the performances and the SOAPS, instead of turning into a two hour long Vegas Tourism ass kiss!
