I agree that the nurses ball is silly but harmless fun but as for habitual complainer…why is it ok for you to be one when it comes to Y&R all the time…lol…arent you being a hypocrite…lol…anyway thats what these message boards are for…what we like and dislike about our soaps…why watch if its so bad…then why do you watch Y&R then…you are like the rest of us…we have a soap addiction and we want to keep watching…soap characters have become like members of our family and like members of our real families we want what we think is best for them…so if we think thats not happening we will express our opinion just like i do with my real family…i see no harm in that…Peace and Love(i used to be a hippie…lol)

I am hoping that he is only going to be a musical guest at the Nurses Ball because he is in a band in real life.

I can’t wait for the ball to happen and i think the actors enjoy performing because it’s fun for them.As for what might happen at the ball i think Lucy’s affair with Scott will be exposed in a public way.Plus i see romance happening there.

I’m sure the three kids will be involved. They are very talented and could steal the show. Maybe Rick Springfield will show? Oh, that wouldnt be possible. That means they would have to write a story line that involved a legendary character. God forbid he show up and support Patrick as his son fights for his life. The writing has got to go!

Maybe Emma can sing ‘Torn Between Two Lovers’ while Spencer and Cameron fight in a duel…with plastic swords of course…i know, corny…lol

Right Timmm….because that would make toooo much sense! Can’t have that. Instead we’ve been once again treated to yet another round of Frisco-dissing….I certainly hope today’s episode was the last of it! It has been very tasteless to witness Felicia (and Kristina) being part of this ongoing bashing of not only her onscreen, but real life, ex…..hence it was refreshing to finally hear her attempt to put an end to it, not to mention the entire crowd’s universal panning of “Herr Marbles.” (I would like to see him suffer a fate similar to that of the “late” Ariel doll….LOL!) Another questionable aspect was the pushing of the Yoplait “Greek” yogurt as a so-called event sponsor….did anyone else think, as did I, that this was designed specifically as a dig to John Stamos and his role as a spokesperson for the competing Oikos brand? It seemed since they were emphasizing the “Greek” version that it was but another of Ron C.’s childish, churlish little inside joke paybacks for which he’s become known. As for this whole mess of a NB, it will be almost impossible to equal last year’s excitement of having both Jack Wagner and Rick Springfield performing….sounds as though it’s going to be more hokey and amateurish this time around, although Dr. O. should definitely add some fun. And if Ronn Moss ends up being part of the musical line-up, that is also fine. Other than that, I’m really not jazzed….the legacy characters that are left on the show truly do not interest me as they have simply become old hat….Finola Hughes excepted. She’s always a sparking class act.

They were emphasizing the name of Greek b/c its Yoplait Greek Yogurt and they paid $$$ to sponsor the ball in REAL life (ABC) and in the soap universe. Product placement is a thing now for our shows to continue on… and when we have a thing like the Nurses Ball, we NEED someone to step up. Yoplait was our Lucy Coe last year. Theres nothing childish here… you’re looking for something to attack Ron and paint him in a bad light. It’s a sponsor. nothing more. If Oikos had coughed up the money… they would have been eating Oikos. :)

    Shay replied

Daniel….I delayed my reply until the end of the NB….a wait and see attitude, and I now have to say my first assumption was dead-on!!!! While I totally understand the reality of product placement and the way it plays a part in productions, this went way beyond that…it was both directly and indirectly aimed at John Stamos, and by extension, Oikos. Yes, the company Yoplait may have paid for considerations in the storyline, but the fact the “GREEK” was played up, along with the scripted Blackie no-show stunt, this was definitely meant to besmirch both the actor and the competing yogurt line he so adorably represents. But thank you anyway for your input, even if we will have to agree to disagree on this one!

Can’t wait to see who performs! I know who won’t be – just considering the seriousness of their storylines (Sonny, Olivia, Morgan, Ava, Sabrina, Patrick). But, I wonder if the 3 little cutie pie’s – Cameron, Emma & Spencer – will do a number together.

I will DVR it of course. That way what offends me I FF . Finola and Brooklyn, I will of course watch.the strippers you can have. The bait and switch Ronn Moss, and anything with *NINA*, ff city. The last NB was awful, Mr Mumbles just sit Sonny on Mac’s knee and you have the same thing. I didn’t think it was possible but the show gets worse when I bother to watch.

I suggest you don’t bother to read my posts. If my comments don’t allow you to enjoy your show sorry .I have my opinion and you have yours. FrankenRon do not deserve an emmy for using the vets to get the ratings too go up then Phelps to step in and allow Tristan Rogers to have a contract. GF is gone, so many newbies and when they play bait and stitch with ?? they stories are off the wall. If you are a troll for FrankenRon tell them I do not enjoy the show, now.I have an opinion and I express it. We do not have to agree ,and apparently the emmy committee agrees. We all have the right to express our opinions. both of us..

Seriously, from all the complaints I read on all the message boards the GH audience wouldn’t even crack a million viewers if everyone who complained actually stopped watching… and the way RC taunts people, both on Twitter and in the show’s plot points he must want people to react with their opinions (complete fool that he is).

I had never seen the nurses ball, but last year I saw some of it for the first time, and the part I saw was light hearted entertainment – good fun escape. Perhaps, there was more going on then I realized or afterwards, but the part I saw was cute. Appreciated that kind of break from the stresses of the work day.

Oh RJ, if you ever have extra time on your hands you MUST go back and watch prior episodes of the Nurses Ball!!! Don’t get me wrong… I LOVED last year and this year’s ball but the earlier balls are just incredible!!!! Definitely ‘MUST SEE’ moments!

Stef- thank you for informing. I will look them up. Always enjoy some light hearted entertainment as a break from the craziness that life throws at us at times. Sometimes, I wish the Soaps would do more of that. They seem to like to go to dark side most of the time , but perhaps, that is what draws people in and sells. As a periodic Days of our Lives watcher and being a bit older, I always enjoyed the Julie and Doug era when they used to sing and entertain at Doug’s place and then tie storylines into that. Wish they would do some of that again.
