If you caught the end of yesterday’s episode of All My Children, you were privy to an amazing performance by Darnell Williams as Jesse Hubbard as he tries to revive a clearly stillborn baby, Ellie! We loved his acting, but we hated the plot. Angie passes out conveniently while giving birth , so that she won’t have any idea when Jesse, with an assist from Officer Brot, decides to play baby-swap to protect Angie from every finding out the truth! While that gives plenty of story down the line for this beloved couple, it was also upsetting to see.
But in the end, like the story or not, it was Darnell who had his shining moment, playing the devastation of the loss of the baby Angie gave up everything for to bring into this world for the couple, and how could he let this horrific ending to the birth of their child ever be found out by the woman he loves.
