UPDATE: TMZ.com reported earlier today some heavy handed news about The Young and the Restless, Darius McCrary (Malcom Winters). The celebrity tabloid/news site noted that Darius has been temporarily ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from his ex-wife after allegedly beating her with a belt in front of her son.

According to that report, “The woman behind the accusations is famed video vixen Karrine Steffans– who filed legal papers in L.A. … describing two separate violent encounters with 34-year-old McCrary. Karrine claims McCrary “choked me from behind and beat me with a belt” during an argument in February … an attack allegedly witnessed by her 12-year-old son.  Karrine claims McCrary struck again in November — choking her and shoving her into a car in front of a large crowd of people at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in L.A.  Now Karrine is asking the judge to make the restraining order more permanent — she’s scheduled to appear in court next week.”

McCrary, who earlier could not be reached for comment, has now exclusively come forward and given a statement to TMZ.com claiming he never laid so much as a finger on his ex-wife.  The Y&R stars believes it’s all part of a divorce gone wrong … adding, it’s clear his ex,  ”didn’t take the finality of the divorce well and has resorted to her old tricks of public defamation.”

Darius also told TMZ, “In no way does he condone anyone resorting to violence against another human being to solve a problem.”  A hearing is now set for next week.

Not only can he not act in the role of “Malcolm”, he is an abuser, a bully, all of the things the networks are speaking out against. Y&R should fire his butt for acting so unprofessionally. He is supposed to be a role model for our youth and he strikes his son’s mother in front of him. He is a coward. His using the “N” word during an interview with co-star St John a few months back was enough for me. Come on Y&R don’t let this stigma be attached to the #1 daytime drama. U can do better, set the example.Don’t turn a blind eye to an employee who assaults women.
