WHY DOES THE NAACP ALWAYS GIVE THE BEST DAYTIME SOAP ACTRESS AWARD TO TAYANA ALI WHEN SHE’S BARELY ON THE SHOW ANYMORE?!?!?!?! WTF?!?!?!?!

I wouldn’t’ even say she is recurring! In fact, I think she is gone, since she broke up with Devon! The voters should view of the reels of the nominees and not base it on name factor. I am happy for Kristoff!

I agree! And when she was on there she barely made a difference!

    Victoria Rowell…. that Drucilla

    LOL

I would be just livid… there she goes again

nominated 12 times, and WINS 11 years!

her tenure at Genoa City… intermittently… from 1990 to 2007

I still believe she is needed in Y&R to wreak havoc and STAR turns

Ms. Ali may be a fine actress in the NACCP’s regard but I think it wrong to salute her as daytime’s best when she and her character are nothing but a footnote. It seems t diminish Ms. Ali, the awards, and the NAACP. That said, as Ms. Ali is but a starry day player, this is an obvious sign that actors of color are underrepresented on daytime.

Karla Mosley should have won. Tatyana was on twice last year. What a joke.

Oh, yes…I totally agree!!!!! And, remember this…Karla Mosley is a regular cast member (aka B&B). Tatyana Ali is NOT!!!!! Big difference. Yep.

I told y’all Tatyana would’ve won. It’s clearly a biased thing. Homegirl ain’t even on the show anymore, so why is she getting it? It’s not like her material has ever been groundbreaking….

She played Will Smith’s cousin on The Fresh Prince of Belair and Devon’s not often see ex-girlfriend on Y&R.

I guess nobody actually watches Y&R who votes at the NAACP either.
If they had, they might realize that she is never on – I had to look her up – and KsJ has been replaced by a cardboard cutout.

Does Roxanne even have a last name?

Hahahaha. Well if you have a free hour, it should be easy enough to look through her footage and find out.

I agree with the Tatyana Ali comments, she is a super actress but honestly she has not had enough material to warrant a nomination much less a win. There were many other nominees more deserving of the award. Oh well! They can do as they wish as it is their awards event!

    Thats just pathetic.

They gave her one scene that was worth anything. Her goodbye scene with Devon.

Hardly a reason to just hand her another award.

Too bad for the other actresses.

Congrats to KSJ, though. He continues to deliver.

WTF?? The NAACP Image Awards are a joke because of Tatyanna Ali! Her presence on the show doesn’t warrant a nomination yet alone a four-peat win!! This awards show is a joke and I’m African-American!
