Now this sounds like a must-see, especially for fans of Y&R icon, Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman)!  And, this is quite a month for Melody! First, tomorrow marks her 35th anniversary on the number one soap opera!  Second, she landed a guest star role on The Crazy Ones opposite Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar in a episode slated to air on mid-April on CBS!

Melody filled in TV Guide Magazine’s Michael Logan on some of the details, including that being no stranger to often playing the best drunk in daytime, she is going to have a drinking problem on the sitcom, too.  That is because she has been cast as a boozin’ librarian!

According to Melody:  “I was originally called in for another role on the show and was told by the producers that I was too young, which was fabulous! But they thought Robin and I would play off each other well, so they created a role for me in a different episode. It’s a great character and not at all glamorous like Nikki. This poor girl is really trying to be sexy but she’s just not cutting it — and she has no qualms about pulling out her flask during library hours.”

So, will you be checking out Melody on The Crazy Ones?  What do you think about her 35 year milestone on Y&R tomorrow?   Let us know!
