Over the weekend at The Young and the Restless 2015 Fan Event, those in attendance learned from Bryton James (Devon) that his co-star and one half of Hevon, Mishael Morgan (Hilary) gave birth to a new little bundle of joy, her son Niam!

Morgan brought Niam into the world on August 9th, apparently a week earlier than anticipated, according to Bryton.

Today, the new mom shared her excitement and joy when Mishael released this statement: “As cliche as it sounds, I have never been this in love in my life! My heart feels like it’s overflowing. I just stare at him for hours and nothing else seems important. I am so thankful for this little man and this crazy adventure called motherhood.”

Share your congratulations and well-wishes for the new mom and make sure to tune-in to the wedding of Hevon this week on The Young and the Restless!

god kno s she needs something positive on a personal level!
pratt completly butched her storyline with devon and neil , to the point that its a afterthought on the show! pratt didnt even try to keep the story on a simmer , he completly cooled it right out! hevon deserved much better!

Congrats to the actress, but I gotta say, I have no interest in this Neil/Hilary/Devon story. From the start, it was dull and boring, mainly because none of the characters are really all that interesting. Devon has always been a snooze, Hilary is an annoying and useless character, Lily was always whining and complaining about Hilary, and Neil has been skulking around town “plotting revenge” for weeks on end. It got old very quickly.

It seems like recently, Y&R hasn’t known what to do with its African-American set on the canvas. This isn’t about race, it’s just an observation.

For example, it doesn’t seem like the writers could formulate any meaningful story for Neil since Dru died. He’s had a string of unsuccessful relationships with throwaway characters (Karen, Sofia, Leslie, Yolanda, Hilary) and they were all complete fizzles. Devon hasn’t had any major story for years, Leslie and Tyler’s story was also a bust (and then they were both dropped with no explanation), and as I said before, Hilary is a useless character who had a very shaky introduction to the show, and hasn’t improved since then.

Truth be told, I don’t want Hilary to return when Mishael Morgan is done her maternity leave, and would prefer to see her and Devon leave Genoa City. Then, bring Dru back from the dead, and recast Malcolm so he can stay put in GC. And maybe even bring back Yolanda, because Debbi Morgan is a gem, and build story around them. It would be far more interesting that what we’re seeing now.
