Colby and Damon break up. As Liza takes the initiative to be a better mother, Damon tells Tad that PV changed him and it will be hard to leave since there’s really no place like it. Liza tells Erica that she wants to push back the trial because she needs to be there for her daughter.  Erica presses Liza to drop the charges and Liza eventually agrees. Greenlee claims to understand why Ryan needs to go to CA and that there are times when they hold things back to protect one another. After meeting with the FAA guy, Ryan becomes suspicious of his claim that the valve malfunctioned. Greenlee encourages Ryan to forgive himself for Zach’s death. After meeting with Ryan, the FAA employee has a mysterious one way call where he says the case is closed and no one will be looking into it anymore. After Bianca questions Erica on why Caleb’s name isn’t on her wedding list, Kendall finds it odd she wouldn’t invite him. Opal, who’s been eavesdropping, asks Erica when she was going to tell her about the situation with Caleb. Kendall admits to Griffin that she is happy to know David is being transferred to another hospital. He encourages her to go back to sleeping in her and Zach’s bed to get some rest and improve her health. She thinks he might be right that it’s time to go back into her master bedroom. Erica tells an unconscious David that he can’t hurt her or her loved ones anymore. David opens his eyes.  David wakes from his coma and remembers that it was Kendall who shot him. Erica goes to see him and gives him “her version” of what happened but David says he knows it was Kendall, not her. Erica tells Jesse that David’s brain is warped from the coma. During this emotional time Erica leans on Caleb, not Jackson, which makes Jackson uneasy. Kendall is freaked out when she hears that David is awake and Erica tells Bianca that her sister must stay as far away as possible from David. Natalia and Brot’s relationship continues to flourish and they decide to go public. Amanda admits to Griffin that she pretended to be Cara so she could find out about her paperwork status. Griffin tells Cara she can’t be on a case if she isn’t’ objective.

A stressed out Kendall confronts David who says he knows she tried to murder him.  Griffin defends Kendall against David. In trying to protect her daughter, Erica tells David that Kendall doesn’t remember shooting him. David makes it clear he won’t protect Kendall. When Jesse tries to question him, David says he’s too weak and would like his lawyer. Marissa realizes she must take charge in her relationship with David and makes the announcement that she is David’s lawyer. Jackson becomes upset as Erica grows closer to Caleb. Bianca alerts Erica and Jackson that Kendall isn’t in her room. Erica takes off and tells Jackson she doesn’t need him. As a result, Jackson finds himself confiding in Krystal how things between him and Erica have changed. Ryan proposes to Greenlee and she says yes.

Krystal isn’t thrilled about Marissa’s decision to represent David but is unsuccessful in talking her out of it. Marissa warns David that he better not manipulate her or try and bend the rules. David says he couldn’t have asked for a better lawyer. Ryan and Greenlee go public with their marriage plans. Both Jackson and Erica are happy for them but Erica is concerned how Kendall will take the news. When she does learn of their plans, Kendall acts like she’s fine but Ryan notices she’s hiding her true feelings. Using Kendall’s guilt as blackmail, David tells Erica to get Greenlee to come and see him. Greenlee and David talk about how much has changed between them. Erica goes to Caleb for help with David’s blackmail and Caleb agrees to help her with what she needs. Minister Torres encourages Kendall to get involved in something and suggest Habitat for Humanity. Griffin tells Cara that he’s not the guy for Kendall to reach out to and doesn’t want to get too personal with a patient. Kendall tries to cover her anxiety after Ryan explains his initial concern of foul play in Zach’s plane crash but covers that he’s sure there was none. Scott and Madison grow closer. She comforts him over his frustration at having to take a low-level job at the hospital but she thinks it’s great that he’s seizing an opportunity to rebuild himself.  Scott confronts Greenlee who says it was the best she could do. When Ryan sees Scott with Madison, Scott puts his arm around her.
