Everyone tries to be strong for Liberty’s first chemo appointment but tensions are high. Carly arrives at the hospital much to Jack’s surprise, with a fashion care package for Liberty to distract herself with/focus her positive energy on. Liberty’s grateful Janet was big enough to ask Carly to come. Janet’s upset when Jack and Carly get tested to see if they can be potential bone marrow donors for Liberty – she wants to believe the chemo will work and they won’t have to explore any other options. Carly bows out gracefully and Jack comforts Janet.  Jack is considerate to Liberty, tending to her needs.  He gets a call from Carly that Parker’s principal wants to see them.  They go, and the principal has noticed that Parker’s been skipping classes again, after making good progress.  The principal implies Carly’s been drinking again, but Jack strongly defends her, calls the principal on it and explains that Liberty’s illness has really affected Parker.  They return home and see Parker and Liberty, in bed, sleeping.  They’re proud of their son, compliment each other, and end up kissing, though Carly breaks away and says it can’t happen again.  Parker supports Liberty, jokes with her a little bit, but also consoles her when she gives in to her fear and sadness.  Janet goes to be tested to see if she can donate bone marrow to Liberty, in case the chemo doesn’t work. Once at the hospital she runs into Dusty doing the same thing. Dusty helps Janet over her fear of needles and they share an intimate moment, interrupted by Teri. Dusty makes a fast exit, but Teri’s quick to realize that Janet and Dusty slept together. Janet can’t deny it, but she insists it was a onetime deal. She returns to Snyder Kitchen only to run into Jack who’s returned from Fashions with an early Valentine’s Day gift. It’s a little black dress and Janet loves it. Little does she realize that Carly ran into Jack at Fashions and helped him pick the dress out. Later, Janet and Jack are both thinking about how Dusty and Carly, respectively, helped them out earlier. Dusty and Carly share a meal at the diner and commiserate.

Alison goes to get the morning after pill and is discovered by Susan. Susan realizes Ali had relations with Mick and she warns Ali to stay away from him. Emily finds Ali at Tom and Margo’s after leaving Fairwinds, where she and Paul had Mick arrested and Barbara admonished and kicked out. Emily tells Alison that Mick isn’t who he says he is. Ali’s deeply disturbed to learn that Mick claims to be James Stenbeck. She goes to the police station and confronts him. Mick pleads with her and tells her that he could only be himself with her. Ali would try to glean more information from him but Barbara arrives with a lawyer and demands Mick accompany her. Back at Fairwinds, Emily realizes if Mick’s a fraud then she’s probably still unlikely to ever become pregnant. Paul vows to punish MickCasey and Alison admire the cake the nurse staff made Ali to celebrate her last day at work before the wedding/honeymoon. Ali’s still jittery over the news that Mick’s been arrested and claims to be James Stenbeck. Emily arrives in the corridor to tell Ali that the DNA proves that Mick seems to be James Stenbeck. Ali gives a scream of horror, but tells a concerned and confused Casey it was a scream of delight because Emily told her that her wedding dress was ready. Casey buys it and leaves them alone. Emily tells Alison not to feel bad for bringing Mick into their lives. Alison’s disturbed that she slept with Mick, but she keeps this to herself. Meanwhile, at the Police Station, Paul’s confronting Mick, when Mick passes out due to an extreme nose bleed. They take him to the hospital where Ali tends to him in private. He wakes up and Ali assures him that she’ll help him and his nose bleed stops. Ali goes to call a doctor, but Mick takes out the guard and asks her to run away with him. Ali complies and they find themselves in the Bell Tower. Paul finds out Mick’s escaped and he grabs a gun and leaves Fairwinds. At Tom and Margo’s, Margo asks Casey if he’s sure he doesn’t want to postpone the wedding since Ali may be involved with the Mick/James Stenbeck situation. Casey defends Alison.  Casey’s recording a video for the wedding. Bob’s participating when he picks up that Casey might have a case of cold feet. Casey assures him that’s not the case, but Bob and Casey are both troubled when Emily and Susan show up looking for Alison (Emily having been clued in by Susan that Ali slept with Mick). Emily and Susan pretend nothing’s wrong, but Bob’s not convinced. Meanwhile, Ali’s with Mick in the Bell Tower where he confides in her that James Stenbeck took him under a wing as a young boy and made him do his bidding. Mick explains that James implanted his personality to a certain degree, within Mick and his brain, and Mick’s purpose to is to carry out pain and destruction upon Paul and all the people he loves – just as James would have wanted. Ali tells him she won’t let him hurt anyone. He says she must run away with him for that to happen but Alison can’t as she’s getting married tomorrow. Mick tries to convince Ali that she doesn’t want to marry Casey and live a mundane life, but Ali stays strong. They hear Paul arrive and Ali intercepts him. She sees he has a gun and she lies to him and tells him that Mick’s run away to a private plane. Paul buys it and leaves, assuring Alison that he’ll protect her and her family from Mick. Ali tells Mick to run away and she kisses him and returns home to a relieved Casey. They kiss, and Mick, watching from outside, glowers. He returns to the Bell Tower where it appears that that James Stenbeck wins the personality contest within him. Mick/James will execute his plans at the wedding. Barbara’s saddened by Paul’s rage against her. Henry shows up and they share a warm moment talking about James and how she wanted to look young again to compete with younger women for Henry (among other reasons). Henry assures Barbara that she’s sexy now. Barbara asks him to go to Casey and Ali’s wedding with her, Henry would, but he and Katie are already going together. He leaves. Barbara’s still lonely.  Emily finds Paul at home with the gun and she learns that he wants to kill Mick. Emily convinces Paul to leave Mick alone, since they’re different now and they love each other and James Stenbeck can’t get to them anymore.

Lily comes home to find a crazed Meg in her house.  Lily triggers a silent alarm.  Holden and Molly are at Java when Molly has to leave, says it’s an assignment.  Really, a friend of hers has tipped her off that Lily called the cops on Meg, so Molly goes around and picks Meg up to protect her.  Meg does run away from Molly but Molly does pick her up, calms her down a bit, and encourages her to do the right thing and give herself and her family a chance.  Luke meets with Gregor, who says a bloody body might have fallen off a ship.  Lily wants Luke to put Damian and Holden in their proper place.  He must continue to think of Holden as his father, and he can’t let thoughts of Damian turn him against Holden.  Privately, Lily wonders if Holden could have killed Damian.

Maddie is looking for a roommate.  Noah suggests himself, though it might be awkward for Luke because of their history. So Maddie thinks of getting a third roommate.  Reid calls Katie on her second thoughts about having Jacob tested as a bone marrow donor.  Reid and Katie have had a thaw.  Reid has experienced loss in his way, with some patients having died, and he takes personal responsibility for those losses, that he must fight harder the next time.  Katie has obviously experienced loss, with Brad.  She’s upset and Reid, despite his cold front, consoles her.  Henry interferes with Reid, so Reid has Henry quarantined by an orderly for tuberculosis.
