Carly has a drink at the lakeside. Craig finds her and says he’s over them, but Carly remarks he came running when he saw her car. Carly wants to restart Monte Carlo, but Craig says she can’t be drinking. Liberty is upset to think Jack only came back to Janet because of her own illness. But Jack later explains to Liberty there’s more to the situation than Liberty’s sickness. There’s an ease in the tension. Janet has spoken to Carly and wants her to stay out of Jack’s life. Jack and Carly look at each other through the window, but Jack turns away first, then Carly. Liberty keeps resisting treatment, and she leaves the hospital. Carly and Molly, consoling each other about their romantic woes, find Liberty on the porch, freezing and looking for Parker. Carly learns that Liberty lost her acceptance to FIT, and offers her a job at MonteCarlo once she sees that Liberty has a great eye for fashion. Carly calls Jack to tell him Liberty is at Milltown and he and Janet quickly come over. Janet lays in to Carly, when she learns that Carly offered Liberty a job. Janet thinks Liberty’s number one priority should be getting better but Liberty wants to have a life. Janet tells Liberty on the porch that she may not have a life at this rate and Liberty runs off, wounded. Janet cries on Jack’s shoulder.
Casey finds tired Alison, in Java. She’s stressed out over Emily’s condition, not just the wedding. They go to Tom and Margo’s only to find them squabbling with Susan over the wedding. Everyone tries to pull it together, and both Margo and Susan offer their homes for Casey and Alison to live in after the wedding. Alison can’t take the pressure. She goes outside to cool off. Mick calls her and she tells him to stop pursuing her. Inside, Margo expresses her regrets, about Emily’s condition, to Susan. Casey tells Tom he’d like to do pre-law and become a lawyer. Casey’s confused by Tom’s lack of enthusiasm. Alison returns and tells the Hughes she’d like to move in right away. Casey tucks her in for a nap. Later, Tom tells Margo that it’s unlikely Casey will be able to be lawyer, having been a convicted felon. Upstairs, we see Mick, peering at sleeping Ali, from the window ledge. In Old Town, Barbara warns Susan that Mick and Alison have an unholy relationship. Paul searches Mick’s room and finds pictures of James Stenbeck. When he returns to Emily’s room he finds Mick and confronts him. Emily stops him from yelling at Mick, and Paul’s elated that she’s awake. He goes to find a doctor and Mick seemingly puts Emily under a spell and tells her that she should have complete faith in him. When Susan and Paul later talk to Emily about potentially postponing her plan to have a child, Emily insists she would like to continue her treatments with Mick – whom she has complete faith in. Alison sees Mick outside Casey’s window but when she and Casey rush to it, there’s no one there. Alison’s shaken, but then she’s thrilled to learn that Emily’s woken up. Paul tells her Emily’s determined to leave the hospital so Ali goes to Fairwinds to see her sister. There she learns that Emily’s invited Mick to live at Fairwinds. Both Paul and Alison are against this plan, but don’t want to disappoint Emily. Paul takes Emily off to rest and Alison accuses Mick of worming himself into her life, after she’s repeatedly told him she wants nothing to do with him. He pushes back at her, asking her if she really wants to be the prim and proper new Mrs. Hughes. Ali rushes back to Casey’s bedroom. Ali throws herself on Casey, but they hear a tapping on the window, and Ali, scared Mick might be out there, refrains from breaking their vow to not have sex before marriage. Back at Fairwinds, Paul let’s Mick stay so Emily will be happy.
Holden tells Meg that Molly was unable to get Grady to admit that he had anything to with Damian. Meg’s inconsolable, can’t believe her own brother still won’t believe her story. Meanwhile, Molly talks to Damian who encourages her to keep what she knows about his relationship with Grady a secret. But when Holden tells her how it hard it is to let his sister down, she breaks down and tells him Grady actually admitted that Damian paid him off to cover up that the DNA in the truck wasn’t Holden’s. Holden’s extremely upset and disappointed that Molly didn’t have any faith in their relationship and kept such a dangerous secret from him. He runs off to help Lily. Molly’s crushed. Meanwhile, Damian senses that he’s about to be busted, so he books a last minute trip to Malta for him and Lily. Lily won’t go and asks him to go pay the bill. When he returns Meg’s waiting for him, having escaped the mental institution. She tries to distract him so she can inject him with the contents of a syringe, but he’s too quick for her, and he overpowers her. He pulls her scarf and accidentally strangles her. Lily’s about to open the door to the room. Molly’s taken her own advice and gone to do some work at WOAK to get her mind off Holden, but when she learns the segment she’ll be working on is a Valentines segment, something snaps inside of her and she decides to go off and find Holden. Damian’s horrified that he’s strangled Meg. He stuffs her in the cedar trunk. Lily’s packed up and ready to leave, but realizes she left something in the trunk. Damian stops her from opening the trunk, but Lily’s suspicious and manages to open it much to her horror when Meg’s arm flops out and she learns that Damian killed her. Damian holds Lily and pleads with her, urging to see that he did this in self defense, since Meg was about to kill him with the syringe full of poison. Lily thinks they should call the cops and tell them that Damian did this in self defense, but Damian won’t let her. He breaks her cell phone and drags her into the hallway only to be confronted by Holden. Damian pulls a gun on Holden. Holden tells Lily that Damian’s been lying to her. He tells her Damian covered up the fact that the DNA in the burned car wasn’t his. Damian tries to defend his actions, but Holden keeps accusing him of more, like the way that Damian led Meg on and then made her look crazy. Lily stops Holden and despite Damian’s protestations, Lily tells Holden that Meg broke out of Deerbrook and that her body is in the bedroom. Holden hears the word “body” and realizes Meg must be dead. He lunges at Damian and they wrestle for the gun. Damian grabs it and aims it at Holden, telling Lily if she leaves him he’ll kill Holden. Lily knows Damian isn’t bluffing and they all go into the bedroom. Damian tells Lily that they will fly away and he’ll treat her like a princess, but Holden says that will happen over his dead body. Damian’s okay with that and aims the gun at Holden. As Damian starts to lead Lily out, Holden makes one last dash for the gun. Damian wheels and is about to fire, when suddenly Meg leaps out, gasping for breath. In the ensuing chaos Damian escapes. Damian loses her and meets with Luke at Grimaldi Shipping to say he has to leave shortly on a freighter. He’s also leaving the company to Luke. Luke doesn’t quite understand but Damian insists he loves Luke but has to leave. Damian would leave, and is at the docks when Holden catches up to him and says he can’t get on that ship.
Reid wants to get back to Dallas immediately, sees that Kim will probably be okay and is under Bob’s care. Luke wants him to stay. A cop comes over and, with Luke’s explanation, detains Reid. Reid has a hearing and the judge deems him a flight risk, and wants him in custody. But Bob asks the judge to release Reid, and Bob will put him to work at the hospital. Noah calls Maddie for some emotional support. Noah also convinces Dr. Oliver to help by saying that he and Luke aren’t together, so Oliver doesn’t have to continue getting back at Luke, he can help. Dr. Oliver also relents and examines Jacob, who has an ear infection. Oliver considers moving into Katie’s house. Henry copes with solitude, with Vienna, Brad and Simon all having left him. He talks with Maddie at Al’s, then goes to Katie’s to hear Dr. Oliver is moving in with Katie.
