Roman interrupts Sami and EJ’s wedding and throws the cuffs on his daughter. All are in shock as Roman explains he’s determined to stop this wedding any way he can. Sami finally convinces Roman to stay for the ceremony, which resumes with an exchange of touching personal vows. Meanwhile, Rafe is methodically building a case against EJ, unaware he’s marrying Sami at that very moment. Rafe offers Nicole FBI protection, but she flees custody. Later, Rafe learns from Gabi that Sami and EJ’s wedding is in progress, and he bursts in before they can be pronounced man and wife. Carly runs into a delay as she tries to get Chloe’s paternity results at St. Mary’s. At the same time, Chloe’s birthday party continues. As tension mounts, edgy Philip leaves the party with Melanie. Daniel worries about fragile Chloe and assures her there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for her. Meanwhile, Stephanie is devastated to learn that Daniel is not the baby’s father. Scared at the thought of losing Nathan to Melanie over this, she finally realizes that there’s one way to make this best for everyone. She asks Ian to change the paternity results. He balks, but ultimately agrees. However, he realizes someone else has beaten him to it. Earlier, it’s shown that Melanie, Daniel, Philip, Chloe and Carly each potentially had the opportunity to change the results. Rafe interrupts Sami and EJ’s wedding. He demands to speak with Sami alone. Everyone thinks this is Rafe’s attempt to get Sami back. Sami angrily tells Rafe she saw him with Nicole. He explains this isn’t about him – it’s about Sydney. If Sami ever loved him, she’ll listen to what he has to say. Sami agrees but insists EJ be a part of their conversation. The guests leave and Rafe confronts EJ. He says that he has proof of what EJ did. Stephanie is troubled that someone changed Chloe’s paternity test results. Nathan comes home and is suspicious of Ian, who quickly leaves. Nathan and Stephanie are both distracted, but make love. Stephanie decides not to tell Nathan about the changed test results. Carly tells Chloe that Daniel is the father of her baby. Daniel walks in, and is surprised to see Carly, who explains she brought Chloe a gift for her birthday. Chloe is thrilled over the paternity news and touched by the gift, which twigs Daniel. She explains that Carly’s gift has made her realize how happy she is about this baby and now she’s ready to tell everyone the good news. Carly tells Daniel, making it sound like a medical case, that she did something that has a happy ending. She’s especially pleased Daniel can now raise a child. Meanwhile, both Melanie and Philip are upbeat over mysterious actions they took. They arrive at Daniel’s at Chloe’s request where she toasts them all for being so good to her. Any one of them could have changed the test result, including Nathan.

Rafe tells Sami that EJ was the one who had Sydney kidnapped. EJ calls Rafe a liar and tells Sami not to believe him. Rafe plays Nicole’s confession to overhearing EJ admit it. EJ says Sami can’t believe Nicole. And Sami doesn’t. She slaps Rafe for buying into Nicole’s lies. Then Rafe produces the CD of EJ’s actual admission. EJ tries to prevent him from playing it and almost comes to blows with Rafe. Sami tells Rafe to play it. Nicole comes to Brady out of fear for her life, believing EJ will kill her after he finds out that she blabbed to Rafe. She begs for Brady’s help. He rejects her outright. He tells her he’s nobody’s hero anymore and goes. Victor applauds him and reveals he’s the one who served her up to Rafe. Brady ends up drinking alone. Maggie sees him. Brady assumes she wants to quit being his sponsor, but Maggie won’t abandon him. At Dr. Baker’s trial, Baker baits Bo into attacking him, but Roman and Carly stop it. During a recess, Bo is left alone with Baker and blames him for what happened with Hope. Baker places the blame where it belongs – on Bo. Bo is affected by it, but gives an emotional testimony on behalf of Hope to put Baker away for his crimes. Everyone is shocked when it’s announced that Hope is the final witness in Baker’s trial. Vivian shows Victor a picture of the sarcophagus, presumably for Isabella. Maggie comes up on it, and learns of Vivian’s plans; she doesn’t realize they are for her. Later, Vivian is clear to Gus that she intends the sarcophagus not for Isabella, but for Maggie. Bo is shocked to see Hope at Dr. Baker’s trial. She testifies against Baker, but he has a change of heart and pleads guilty. He tells the judge the woman on the stand is not the woman he worked with. She’s a victim and if anyone is guilty, it’s Bo Brady. Carly sees how emotional Bo is over Hope. Bo thanks her for her support. Bo has a moment with Hope and he tells her that Baker is right. He is the guilty one in all of this. Bo fears for Hope as she goes to prison, but she says she will be okay. Later, at home, Bo and Carly take a nap. Bo hears Hope call out to him in a dream, saying, “save me.” Melanie is happy about Chloe’s pregnancy, and tells Maggie. Maggie thinks Melanie has it all now: a husband, mom, dad and sibling on the way. Pretty soon she’ll be moving out and won’t need Maggie. Melanie assures Maggie she’ll always need her. Maggie admits she’s thinking about going on an extended trip and Melanie says she’ll miss her. Later, Maggie runs into Carly and both are pleased that Chloe and Daniel are having a baby. Vivian is planning Maggie’s downfall. She tells Gus of her sarcophagus plans. He warns Madame to be careful – do not upset Victor. Vivian says he’ll never know. Later, Vivian drops by Maggie’s house. When Maggie leaves the room, Vivian finds her travel brochure and realizes this couldn’t be more perfect. She pockets some of Maggie’s personal stationary. Melanie nearly catches her, but she leaves and later, the sarcophagus arrives! Nicole knows that Rafe is confronting EJ and fears for her life. She runs into Kate and Stefano and sort of panics. She maneuvers her way out of it, but they realize she must be part of the reason Rafe showed up at the mansion and stopped the wedding. Stefano makes a call and it looks like Nicole is toast. Sami learns the truth about EJ stealing Sydney. After Rafe leaves with the disc, EJ admits it is true. He tries to defend his actions, but Sami tears into him. She tells him he will never see his kids again just as Stefano, Kate and the children return home. Rafe hands over the evidence to Roman. Roman warns EJ will put up a fight, but Rafe vows to be ready.

Stefano tries to stop Sami from leaving with his grandchildren, but Rafe returns and promises that EJ will go to jail. EJ says a painful goodbye to his kids, as Sami and Rafe take the children and leave. Stefano scolds EJ for letting Nicole best him. EJ plans to kill Nicole. Arianna shows up and gets him to realize that revenge against Nicole will not solve his problems. Later, EJ breaks down over his loss, and Arianna holds him. Meanwhile, Sami and Rafe take the kids to the Brady Pub. Sami expresses her sorrow and regret over her poor choices and her gratitude toward Rafe. He keeps his feelings close to the vest and says that he’ll leave to give her time with her family. Sami calls after him, asking him not to go. Kate is horrified when she realizes she may lose Will over Stefano and EJ’s secrets. Stefano assures her that will not happen. Chad says some kind words to Kate, and Stefano wonders what they’re talking about. Kate said Chad is the least of their concerns and decides to continue keeping her secret.  Chloe and Daniel share their happy pregnancy news with Victor. He warns that Daniel and Chloe’s bliss will be short-lived. Meanwhile, Nicole fears she’s being stalked, but she realizes the man in question is her FBI bodyguard. Once she learns that her bank accounts have been frozen, she decides she can’t stay at her apartment and asks Chloe if she can move into her place. Chloe, on the spot, is a good friend and says yes. Daniel comes home and is surprised to find they have a new roommate with an FBI bodyguard in tow.   The sarcophagus is delivered, and Vivian tells Victor her plans for “Isabella” are moving along nicely.
