The man with Todd’s original face is about to make contact with Viki when he spies her with the other Todd. Natalie tells Jessica that she and Brody have become a couple. Jessica slaps Natalie in front of Viki. Viki alerts Jessica to the fact that Bree has witnessed the confrontation. Jessica leaves to see to her daughter, and Natalie leaves for the police station, where John is questioning Brody about the tape recorder, found on Gigi’s person at the time of her death and lately missing from the evidence room. Brody produces the tape recorder and covers the reason it is in his possession. The tape is played – but it’s blank. Natalie finds the tape recorder and remembers it as the item she and Marty fought over prior to her falling over the roof of the Angel Square Hotel. Natalie seems to be on the verge of remembering everything when John returns and Natalie’s memories of the incident disappear, but she questions John about the tape recorder. John suggests Natalie look to Brody for answers. Dorian threatens David with the gun Ionia sent. Dorian believes David was meant to use it to kill her. Their confrontation is cut short when they discover a body in the bushes – Agent Kent, dead. David assumes Dorian killed the man and calls the police. John and Brody arrive and quickly ascertain that Dorian could not have killed the man. Dorian gets back at David by alerting John and Brody to the gun and note. John and Brody don’t have enough evidence to arrest David, who is nonetheless sent packing by Dorian. Todd confides in Jack his secret knowledge that John doesn’t know Liam is his son. The secret they share draws the two closer. Todd assigns Jack the task of looking into Origami Cogs, the shadowy company that stole his satellite out from under him. Meanwhile, Echo overhears Rex plotting revenge against Todd and Jack by hurting Blair and Téa. Rex covers and diverts Echo by cluing her into his scheme to hit Todd in the wallet with a new subsidiary he’s created: Origami Cogs. Rex explains that the name of the company is an anagram for Gigi Morasco. Blair and Téa tell Starr about their disastrous attempt to share their grief over Gigi’s death with Rex. Starr warns Blair that Jack isn’t her only problem. Sam has been acting weird, too. The trio discuss Sam’s new imaginary friend, which seems innocuous enough to Téa – until she finds out the friend wears a conspicuous characteristic on his face: A scar.

The man with Todd’s original face sneaks into Todd’s office and tries to find out more about Todd, but he’s interrupted. He prepares to strike thinking Todd is coming in– and ends up hitting Jack instead. Todd comes in and the man with Todd’s original face hides. Todd thinks he knows who’s responsible for this. Bo probes Rex’s reasons for trading Gigi’s heart for Clint’s assets. Rex reveals his anger at everyone who covered up for Jack. Bo tries to get him to open up, but Rex shuts down and kicks Bo out. Rex, alone, allows his grief to surface. Natalie presses Brody about the tape recorder and John joins in. Brody gets defensive, which makes John suspicious. When Baz finds Starr looking at an old photo of herself and Todd, he questions her. She explains about Todd’s plastic surgery. He probes further and she reveals that she’s troubled about Sam’s imaginary friend who has “a line on his face.” Blair walks in on Dorian evicting David. When Dorian tells her what’s happened, she mentions the dead body found by the pool. Blair connects this to Sam and vows to talk to him about it. Viki and Todd try to figure out who broke the photo of him. David interrupts, blaming Viki for his problems with Dorian. Viki promises to help him find out who set him up.

Todd wants to make love to Tea but things are still tense regarding Jack. Tomas and Baz spar over music. Dani is distracted because of Nate and neither kid will eat the breakfast Tomas prepared. Tomas goes up to summon Tea for breakfast and sees Todd grab Tea angrily. He tells Todd to take his hands off Tea. Tea leaves them to argue, and the subject of their secret deal comes up. They both threaten that each has secrets that the other could expose. Baz overhears and later Tomas tells Tea that he has something to tell her about Todd. James and Starr have a romantic interlude by the pool. Baz tells Starr that there’s something up between her father and his. Nate blows off Dani on the phone when Rick finds him at the Buenos Dias and pressures him about being in the porno. Meanwhile Deanna is meeting her lawyer about getting info about her mother, but she still doesn’t have enough money. When Rick goes out to get a call, Nate tells Deanna that he told Dani he knows she knows that Matthew killed his father. Nate tells Rick he’ll do the porno but not Deanna. Rick may have leverage over Nate but not Deanna. Rick reveals he now owns the lawyer’s file on her mother. Bo and Nora are bereft that Matthew’s in the Philadelphia facility. Nora obsesses on figuring out who might have hurt Matthew. They realize the house hasn’t been cleaned since Matthew got hurt and they find a gum wrapper they can’t identify. We see Nate chewing the same gum. Destiny freaks out when Vivian mentions a teen pregnancy group she’s working with. Vivian gets twigged, while Shaun assumes she’s just upset because of Matthew. After Shaun leaves, Vivian gently prods and Destiny starts to sense nervously that Vivian’s guessing the truth. She runs to Dani and is about to confess the truth that she’s pregnant. Ford comes over with visitation papers. Jessica is hostile at first but warms up and asks him what he loved about Tess and they bond slightly.

Blair takes Sam to the police station in the hope she’ll be able to put to rest the issue of his imaginary friend. It’s her belief that Sam’s mysterious conversation partner is the unidentified man (Kent) who turned up dead on the grounds of La Boulaie. Sam confirms that he knows the dead man, but not that he is the imaginary friend. The dead man, in fact, tried to kill Sam. But Sam’s friend, the man with the line on his face, saved him. Elsewhere, Tomas forces Todd to apologize to Téa for his behavior. Todd and Tomas agree that they are at a stalemate and must continue with their tense truce. Baz tells Starr about the conversation he overheard between Todd and Tomas. Starr provides Baz with more information about his father, including his CIA connection. Baz is driven to learn more. The Mannings gather at Todd’s house to celebrate Sam’s birthday. However, the entertainment is late. He’s been detained by the man with Todd’s original face, who plans to infiltrate the party in a superhero costume. Rick has obtained information on Deanna’s mother but will only relinquish it in exchange for her performance in a porn. Nate and Deanna feel compelled to do as Rick asks. At Todd’s house, Dani tells Destiny that Nate knows Matthew killed Eddie, and also that he told Deanna. Dani assures Destiny that neither Nate nor Deanna will squeal. Destiny spots Nate and Deanna leaving the Buenos Dias and overhears their plan to rendezvous at the Minuteman.

Dressed as a superhero, the man with Todd’s original face infiltrates Sam’s birthday party, covertly interacting with Todd, Blair, Tea and their children as well as Tomas and Baz. Sam’s family plans to surprise him with a cake, but they discover Sam gone. Meanwhile, the man with Todd’s original face ushers Sam into a motel room, where Sam discovers the super hero is the line-faced man everyone else presumes to be his imaginary friend. Natalie delivers to John the results of the fingerprint analysis done on the dead body found by Dorian’s pool. The results yield an encrypted file, similar to the one the CIA had on Tomas as well as the one found in Todd’s possession. John puts together that all three men have some connection to pre-reconstructed Todd Manning. Destiny is forced to tell Dani that Nate lied about having to work a double shift and instead went off to a motel room with Deanna. At the motel, Rick starts to direct Nate and Deanna in their first porn scene, just as Dani shows up at the door. David forces Viki to make good on her promise to find out who’s been trying to destroy his relationship with Dorian. Viki realizes the perpetrator may be after Dorian, not David, and quickly comes up with Echo’s name. Meanwhile, unable to resist the temptation to gloat about Dorian’s failing relationship with David, tipsy Echo visits Dorian and overplays her hand, leading Dorian to come to the same conclusion that Echo has been setting up David. Viki agrees to join David while he tells Dorian about the Echo theory, but when they show up at the pool, they find evidence that Dorian was there, but no Dorian.
